Yeah I checked yours again this morning and saw the success, that's great to know you did the hook up, will hopefully help others. I like that it tells me in the OTA dashboard that battery charge was the issue, but Ford needs to make the user aware of that somehow. Either saying that the vehicle battery is at low charge so maybe take a 20 minute freeway drive, or to hook up a battery tender. I know it's Ford, and they want to make the vehicle ownership experience simple and people might get freaked out by the message, but the alternative is like your case where it won't apply but you don't have a clear understanding why unless you take it to the dealer or in your case were active in a forum where someone can check it. The average F-150 owner won't have that and will sit at a dealership just to be told, maybe, since it assumes the tech even looks, that the vehicle needed some charge.

So just to confirm. OTAs will still be applied if the hood is open? I have seen the list of requirements and just wanted to be sure. Myalove seems to confirm hood open is ok unless their hood was closed with the tender attached. Thanks in advance.

No OTA history in the past 60 days and no OTA's pending in queue. Your trailer module was updated May 17th at a dealer it looks like. Two open FSA's:
  • 21M08 UNINTENDED TAILGATE OPENING
  • 22B08 ELECTRONIC CONTROL MODULE RECOVERY
No Bluecruise FSA is listed on your truck.

No, my hood was closed. I'm not 100% certain this is a requirement but I threw my Battery Tender under the hood and closed is tight. I was worried having it open would delay the update also.

No OTA history on your truck in the past 60 days and no OTA's pending. It does show a bunch of updates were performed 4/24 and a bunch more on June 1st, but those weren't over the air.

Thank you for this. Do you see any other updates available? I've been doing all of them via FDRS since OTA doesn't want to play.
