I just got a "Customer Satisfaction Program 22B08" letter from Ford -- " ..an internal error in sync or TCU will prevent the receipt of software updates for these modules..." "Ford has authorized your dealer to update the software.. free of charge.."
Before I make an appointment can someone please run my Vin and let me know where I stand?
I was at the dealer two weeks ago for the under-body insulation and trailer control recall fixes and the dealer told me at that time they were having all kinds of issues trying to update the software and wouldn't attempt it as it could tie the truck up "for days"!

I only have access to PTS, but that shows no OTA update history nor any manual module updates at the dealer.

 

No OTA updates in your queue. The only update I see in your history is the trailer module update on May 26. Attaching the 22B08 dealer info page.

The PCM updates are what give the improvements, and that isn't part of the OTA updates.

Received a notification from Ford Pass overnight indicating I had successful update.

Looking at the details, it says it reprogramed stuff for the recall related to the brake controller issue (22S17). Oddly, Ford Pass still shows I have open recalls for this.

Still have no BC :-(

 

It's only showing the trailer relay module FSA for yours.
