Software Updates
It appears to be the new Ford normal. Just wait until all the Lightning are on the same system - begging for system updates. Ford will likely need to downgrade the other F150's in the queue to try and make sure the Lightning look good by being updated regularly.
It took Ford 14 months to get my truck order to the dealership here in Canada and now after 5 months not a single update has been received to my Powerboost. @Ford Motor Co. want to run a Canadian one?
Let me know and I will PM you. One of the many helpful US members ran it and saw nothing in the system pending. Currently stuck where it was when it left Dearborn - sync 4 software is version 21223_PRODUCT.

They seem to be going in batches, my truck was built in late April 2021 and I got a couple updates in November, but you would have already had those on your truck as it looks like it was released in November. I didn't receive any besides that until early last month. So yours will be coming and the frequency will improve once they get everyone caught up. Since starting to receive mine I have received the next one 3-5 days later. Just the unfortunate reality of Ford getting used to the new method of deployment and the speed bumps along the way. Tesla and others have had them too early on.
Keep in mind that Tesla has FAR fewer product variants/options and a MUCH simpler electronics design on their vehicles. With the increasing number of F-150 variants due to not only options/models but also dropping/changing options due to chip availability, Ford has its work cut out for it. The key is to base OTAs on the current state of the vehicle, not the "as-built" state of course. But even then, the number of permutations given the many disparate modules in the truck is mind blowing.
@vulnox should be Job 2 trucks have BC when Ford builds it that way not when ordered that way - Ford deleted a lot of items from orders. I was supposed to get Active, ended with Assist 2.0 just to get the order processed without any notification to me.
@suryc - agree. I will hold off doing Ford's job for now but have everything to go the FDRS route if necessary.

That also isn't relevant to OTA updates, I said for vehicles with the option on them, that your dealer didn't notify you and that you still took delivery isn't on Ford. I am not saying that in a combative way, it's hard to word it in text, but we are discussing OTA updates and timing and what you brought up isn't Ford's fault. I haven't seen any dealer notices saying BC has to be removed, but I am sure it was an order constraint and your dealer was able to get the truck to you faster by making the change.
My dealer just finished all the software updates for BC and while doing so replaced the IPMA. They completed the alignment procedure but now have a DTC they can't get rid of (U2101). Does anyone know how to resolve this?
