Default Leveled 2017 Platinum

Bilstein 6112 Coilovers set at 2", stock rear shocks with a 3"block. 275/60/20 BFG AT KO2's. This setup far exceeded my expectations. The ride is more firm than stock but I love the way it feels and handles. 5160's for the rear are next.

Just got back from the shop that installed the Rough Country leveling struts and matching rear shocks along with the Icon Compression wheels and Toyo ATIII's P285/70/17. Rides really good. Only thing I noticed is that the drivers side front is almost a half inch higher than the passenger side front, so when you look at the truck from the drivers side it makes the front end look slightly higher. It's dead even on the passenger side. I'm gonna give it a week and see what it does, and if it doesn't change I'll bring it back and see what they say. Other than that I'm very happy with the way it came out. I may end up getting a 1" block for the rear but I'm gonna wait to see how it settles first. This is a 2wd.

I had the truck aligned after the level went on and they did make some adjustments. I think the ride is far superior to stock but that’s partly because the stock struts and shocks are so terrible. I’ve only done a small bit of towing but I can definitely say it’s also way better than the stock suspension.

Default 2.5 level, raptor tires, 3.31 gear

Just wondering if anyone has a similar set up to what I have. I have a 2016 XLT scab 4x4. 5.0. 3.31 rear. Stock good years currently. Thinking about doing a 2-2.5” level. Just got a good deal on the 17/18 raptor beadlocks and wanted to see someone’s input on it first hand.... I don’t tow and don’t mind if the truck is a little sluggish...

You'll want to go with a 4.10/4.11 eventually, and sooner rather than later.

Meanwhile, you can "drive around it" by using M + Sport to shift manually everywhere you go. You must at least "lock out" 6th or the trans' computer will try to get you into 6th on the highway where at moderate cruise speeds you could be lugging the engine.

If you've ever spent time on a motorcycle shifting it sequentially, you can drive your truck with that tall 3.31 and those tires, using M + Sport, shifting with the +/- toggle on the shift lever.

As for tire/wheel fitment, stick to a 2" lift/level and you'll clear those tires just fine. The offset is good.

/my two cents

thanks for your input. I was definitely not wanting to change out the rear if I didn’t have to. I’ve ran the numbers on a gear ratio calculator.... I’ve debated on possibly down sizing to a 305/65/17 for the raptor wheels. Says it’d be equivalent to a “3.26”. All in all, I’m gonna stick the 315/70/17s on this weekend, test fit and maybe just take it for a short test drive to see.
