Default Wheel play

Has anybody had a little bit of play in the steering wheel after a level kit was put on?

No free play after my 5100’s install at 1.75”. BUT, I do feel steering is a bit lighter and more sensitive / responsive to changes in the road. I guessing it’s due to the shift in weight off of the front end.

Yeah that’s exactly the way it feels. But ok that makes me feel a little better about it.

I recently had 2.5” level front spacers installed on my 2018 F-150 Lariat 2WD. When I got home I noticed it looked a bit off so decided to measure it (should have done that sooner) and realized the front is sitting 1” lower than the rear. My question is could this due to settling? Its only been 2 days since install. Was also thinking did I not go big enough as this truck has the towing package maybe the rear sat higher than the front than usual? Also could be they said they installed 2.5” but is actually something smaller? And lastly does it even matter? I definitely don’t want to try a 3” level as I’ve read lots of posts on here that it isn’t such a good idea... all thoughts and comments appreciated, thanks!
That's surprising. I didn't use spacers for my level so I'm not quite sure how it would differ from the 5100's I installed at 1.75". I have the max tow and 7000# GVWR package. Initially I did notice that one side (front driver vs. front passenger) was off by about 3/4" with no front live load. The wide variance has since "settled" and is not visually prominent anymore. I was hoping to keep slight rake but my truck looks pretty level now. I'll eventually add a rear block and bags to bring back some rake.

Default FX4 front height

I was all set to have a Rough Country 3" kit installed until I read it is not recommended for FX4 trucks due to FX4 having a different front height. The first shop I chose made no mention of it but RC itself says no go. I went to another shop (4WP) who recommended the ReadyLift 3.5" kit until I brought the FX4 issue to their attention. Ultimately we discovered ReadyLift makes a 1.5" level for FX4 to address the issue. Reading the forum I haven't seen anyone use different equipment on an FX4 but ReadyLift offers an FX4 specific level and RC warns not to use their lift kit on FX4.

My concern is using the ReadyLift 1.5" instead of the 2.25" resulting in not being truly level.

Any idea as to what their trouble specifically is? I've got Rancho Quick Lift Loaded that I plan on using on a FX4. Ford says the shocks are different as far as damping, and that's it.

They say the front height (measured from the center of the wheel to the fender) differs with FX4. In other words, less factory rake. The guys at the shop had never heard of it but saw the same thing I did on the RC and ReadyLift websites. They even called ReadyLift but whoever they spoke with was no help.

Reckon I'll be doing some hard looking, and if I don't see something, I'll go ahead and just do it. I can't imagine a problem as I sit here, but we will see. These trucks as it is have variations of rake right from the factory, as an example, I had 3". I've heard of everything from 2.5 to 3.5 on here. Not arguing with you, crap, just the weight of the engines could make a difference of 1/2".
