This thread was a big help to me, so I thought I'd post a pic and my specs for others going through this. My truck is a 2015 Lariat with 3.5 EB. I installed the Icon Stage 4 suspension kit, stock rear block with 20x9 XD779 Badlands with 18mm offset wrapped in 275/60-20 Toyo A/T IIs. My plans were to go with 285/65-20s, but decided to stay conservative on the increase over stock and lower unsprung weight by staying with a P metric tire. I choose performance and mileage over off-road ability. If my rear gears were 3.55 or 3.73, instead of 3.31, I would have gone the other route. I'm happy with the results. Struts are set on their lowest setting and I have a about a hundred lbs. of gear in the bed and a full 36 gal tank. The tires are flush with the fender flares with this offset.

Ultimately we discovered ReadyLift makes a 1.5" level for FX4 to address the issue. Reading the forum I haven't seen anyone use different equipment on an FX4 but ReadyLift offers an FX4 specific level and RC warns not to use their lift kit on FX4.

My concern is using the ReadyLift 1.5" instead of the 2.25" resulting in not being truly level.
From 2009 to 2014, FX4 used to be a trim level and not just an add-on to the vehicle. ie, you're thinking of buying a new truck and your options are an FX4 or a Lariat. Nowadays, it's in addition to the trim level and no longer it's own trim. These FX4 trim trucks were in between XLT and Lariat as far as luxury goes. Their stock suspension also came about 2" taller from the factory.

The FX4 issue you're referring to does not apply to trucks 2015+

I have a stupid question.

When installing 2" spacers I've read that you either have to Twist the top of the strut to line up the upper bolts, rotate the bottom strut mount 180 degrees or just use left side on right side and vice versa. Which is esier. I have a spare set of struts and I trying rotated the bottom mount and they will NOT move.

When attaching the spacers the bolts at the top are now 180 degrees off. Swapping struts from side to side is a bit involved, having to have everything taken apart at once. The simple solution is to put the pin that is in the bottom of the strut in a vise and rotating it to reverse the angle of the bolts. There is a video on YouTube that shows this. Its relatively easy.

If I swapping struts would work then I will be good because I have a seperate pair of struts laying here ready to go.

Hi,

I completed my Bilstein install today with the setting second highest. My for height for front is 39 and my rear is 40.5. Note I have Firestone RideRight airbags set an 6 psi (as per instructions when unleaded) My front height was 37.

Just posting for information sharing. (My plan is to put 33-34 tires on and I expect I should not have any problems. I have 20" wheels)

Question What size tire with a 2” leveling kit and OEM 18” rims

I have a 2018 XLT 4x4. I’m wanting to install a 2” leveling kit and some bigger tires to fill in the fender wells. What size tire should I consider without any worries with rubbing and breaking the bank? It will driven 90%on pavement. Just cosmetic additions for me. I’ve seen many different sizes being used in this form.

But right now no rub scrub or anthing amd with the 275/65r20 there only 44lbs so plenty of power and good gas mileage.
Perfect. That is exactly what I want to do. Stock suspension with 275/65/R20s.
