Can I pick y'alls brains on the 70s dana60s and dana44s? Anyone well versed in them?

Dang well I'll post it up and maybe someone reading this will have some knowledge to share lol. My dana44hd has 1/2" wheel studs and my Dana60 rear has 9/16" wheel studs... one of them is wrong lol. Trying to figure out if I should put 9/16" in the front, 1/2" in the back, or what is the best option.

On a side note, do bigger wheel studs mean bigger axle? My front 44 is an HD which is their biggest axle and is 3500# instead of the lighter dana44s at 3000 and 3300.

 

Thinking out loud here.... but will the wheels you are using do 9/16? I'd go bigger all around if you can.

That's what I have to look into also. I'm going with western turbines... aluminum rims that need a collared lug nut. I need to make sure I can buy the lug nuts I need in 9/16"

That is correct, Brew. As I recall, they were called Turbine Cyclone Hurricane wheels.... and the name gradually got shorter.
