Thinking
He used two bolts probably not even grade 8. (... I never thought to check)and a piece of like 1" (1/2"? Can't remember but it wasn't big) square tubing to make a cross brace. Each bolt had about 10washers to fill in the gap. And then in the middle they "welded" this support piece. The long pic is a Panoramic if you're on a computer or phone that will do it justice.
Wow, what a mess lol. You knew about that beforehand right, the truck was priced accordingly ? Hate to find that after the fact lol.
EDIT: Eishh, maybe yuh didn't lol. Oh well, sounds like your going to fix it up.

I'd say closer to 12" in most places, Brew. If you look real close in the middle of the tracks, you can see marks where the shock brackets and/or diff were just dragging through the top of the snow.

I hate to call it that.... more like throw some slag on some metal and hope it sticks
