JP......I certainly hope all is well with you and yours and that your hatches were battened down tight. Wouldn't want anything to happen to our buddy from NC.

I got back out of the hospital last night. Glad to be back home again. They added some blood and fluids to build my hemoglobin up to a safe level. They didn't do that the first stay, and it came back to bite me. I'm back to feeling decent now, so after one more day of relaxing, I should be good for a few oddball things to do around here. lol. Thanks for the thoughts guys. I'm back

Glad to hear your back and doing well!

I've just been spending the last week snuggling the new baby and assisting the wife in any way I can. Sleep is lacking but we are gettin thru it!

Figured it was you in the hospital AK. Brian mentioned someone was on FB. Glad you're back, and hope you continue to improve each day, my friend. Hope the old Win 7 box is back to health again too!

I've been dealing with the damn Escape randomly dying.... flashing OD light, and the CEL. But, when you restart it, the codes go away. So, all of those made me think it's the TCC solenoid going out.... not letting the converter come out of lockup and killing the motor when you come to a stop (fairly common issue on the CD4E trans). Problem is, I had no code to verify my thoughts. It would never do it when I drove it, just the Wife.... Until tonight.... and BAM!

I was right.

Yea white, those vehicles keep you busy...fun times and not so much lol. The Escape is the DD, yours correct ? Saves wear and tear on the truck. Save a lot on fuel I expect. Do you alternate much, between the Truck and the Escape. I guess when things come up like this you do lol.

Well, cleaning out the 2018 Grand Design tomorrow, that thing I haven't camped in yet, well I haven't taken anywhere yet would be more accurate. Been getting an itch to though with fall around the corner. Yea, it's been shedding my mail, truck parts lol. It's almost a year old, Sept 25th it will be. Going to mess with that and maybe throw some parts on the truck. Need to work on the John Deere as well. Winters creeping up too..I better start taking care of some of this stuff lol.

Hope your weathering the storm well jp.

Thank you everyone for the thoughts and worries. Lol
We made it through with minimal damage. The old sea wall gave out at the river and I learned that I need some storm doors for blowing rain events but all in all not too shabby.
Ak, Im glad you are out of the hospital and getting back to feeling like yourself again.
2100, I know your wife is loving all the help and Im sure you dont mind the time spent with your little girl either.
White, that escape seems to be nothing but trouble. I like a challenge but that thing would have me considering parting ways.
Jbrew, it wasnt near as bad as it could have been. It maxed out the rain gauge last night at more than 5 inches and it is still coming down.

My DD is the Toyota. The Wife drives the Escape....

The F150 has been driven quite a bit lately. Took it to work twice this week, lol. Also used it to get the 351, go get the engine stand, and go get the picker. Also took it fishing yesterday.

Been eyeing up the costs involved in this swap.... it's either going to take a really long time, or I'm going to throw in the towel. This stuff is way more expensive than it was when I was serious about it 10 years ago.

Glad you're OK JP. That is wonderful news.

I'm going to part ways if it gives me anymore crap after this. I can't really complain about it much, it's been a good vehicle. My Brothers Escape was the one giving me the most problems.

Good to hear you still above sea level out that way. The rain should subside by Monday, perhaps sooner correct? No loss in power ?

Yessir, still way above sea level. The river is supposed to crest around 10 ft by Wednesday but my home is 20 ft up the bank so no worries there. Could make getting around some of the bridges a little interesting though. We even still have power. Of course we wouldnt lose power after I finally get everything properly hooked up to power the house with a generator. lol
