The F150 has been driven quite a bit lately. Took it to work twice this week, lol. Also used it to get the 351, go get the engine stand, and go get the picker. Also took it fishing yesterday.

Been eyeing up the costs involved in this swap.... it's either going to take a really long time, or I'm going to throw in the towel. This stuff is way more expensive than it was when I was serious about it 10 years ago.
Crap, forgot about the Toyota lol. Man I haven't been fishing in ages. That's a good idea in fact...added to the list , all caps.

Building it ? Yea, just the parts, then depending upon what you farm out....adds up for sure! But it's a hobby, or personal sanity as some might say lol.

Btw, just another thought. A lot of engines get half built and then some before the towel toss. Right time an place and could capitalize there. You find those deals and usually make out on things from I've seen. I have no doubt you'll find a way buddy.

Sounds good, yea that might be interesting getting around for awhile lol. Don't take any chances, high water can tear a hole right through bravery lol.

Having that generator right helped. Even though you haven't used it, just knowing it there and it works is a load off in itself.

Glad you and your family are alright. Have to say, Florence had it moments where it wasn't looking good for east coast over there. Glad it wound down some, kind of at the last minute. Our Mother Nature, can be very unpredictable.

Loving the 351 money.... I hope he pulls through, lol.

Yeah... I'm right there of "all or none". My list keeps growing. I can do decent junkyard heads for fairly cheap. My biggest hurdle is going to be the intake manifold. I'm looking at 6 or 700, no matter what route I take. Keep hoping I'll find someone that is looking to turn it quick, lol.

Default Well.... Crap.

Installed my painted-up emblems last weekend, and noticed this today.

The kicker? The one on which the paint didn't do this is crooked, so I'll have to pull *that* one, too!

I followed the primer and paint directions (both Duplicolor), but allowed the adhesion-promoter primer on the first one (not cracked) to dry completely before top-coating. I applied the topper on the other two after the ten minutes stated on the can.

AK: Glad to hear you're back home and recovering!

JP: Glad to hear you made it through the weather unscathed.

Jbrew/White: But, but, but.... He just wants performance calipers to go with his stock-ish pads and rotors, and has a budget of $125. That should be easy. Maybe a set of those plastic caliper covers is all he really needs.

Thanks guys for the well wishes. I'm glad everyone is safe and sound. I've missed the best late summer ever for Alaska the past 2-3 weeks. 5 days of record temps, all clear skies, etc. At least it's nice again out today, so I might get a couple things done, without over doing things, at least I hope. LOL

Glad you are on high ground JP. That is always a big plus.

Damn Ohio. How the hell do they crack the paint like that? Weird as hell on that kind of surface.

I wasn't going to, but the urge hit me to post on the caliper thread. Not a hell of a lot of difference in 2wd and 4wd to make the BB swap from 679's to 702s with the Expy calipers and rotors. He wants bigger brake power, and it's so damn simple to do. Brew did it. I did too. The swap time is nothing and the cost of Expy vs 150 parts is minimal at most. Sheesh. Even in my clouded stupor, I can look up those quick numbers. LOL

Whitey....thanks for the download. I will do it tonight. I'm feeling better and my head has cleared, so I will be up to the task tonight. I didn't want to do it fuzzy in the mind, lol. Again thanks.

I hate when that happens Ohio! That was a lot of monkeying around to get that painted just right....then it cracks.

Break out the fine black touch up pen. Dup sells those as well....and go for Iduno, the sculpted look ? Better keep in handy though, above the visor or center counsel.

But yea, sucks!

Damn Ohio.... got that distressed look going on already? That sucks. What kind of paint did you use? I assume it's auto paint?
