lol I’m thinking incorrectly ? Where in my post do you deduce what I am thinking incorrectly? Must be where I didn’t say I bought stock replacements..i wish we could all get away from our non understanding ways and gain a true understanding , perhaps you could enlighten us to the ultra complex world of disc brakes.. where were you when I built my last 4 builds ? You could have shown me the light and truly delivered me from my confused ways..anyway ... back to reality , thanks for the suggestion on the possibility of r1 improved calipers like I asked for ( an upgraded caliper )
Just as predicted lol. No need to get defensive, carry on champion.

read my question and read your posts. You didn’t answer any question or provide any help instead showed everyone you are argumentative and made assumptions. . This forum is for helping fellow f150 owners not a place to practice being irritating.anyone else feel free to read the posts and chime in ..—the champion 🤙

Not too sure how this got some damned derailed, but Brew has done his own brake conversions. He simply said that had you asked before starting to order parts, then you could have been steered in the right direction. However, you bought stock replacement parts.... might be better brake material, but stock replacement nonetheless.

Your not sure how it got derailed ? Did you read the post start to finish ? I’m still waiting for the link to the better than stock replacement brake setup for cheaper than stock.$5k for a big brake kit ? Is cheaper than my “stock “ ebc rotors and pads?? If you or your friend have a link to this cheaper than “stock” replacement by all means share away and I’m sure everyone with a 97-03 f150 that needs brakes will jump on it. I definitely learned this forum has to be approached much differently than any other I’ve ever posted on. unfortunate as over many years I’ve had great guys save me lots of time , effort and money and have done the same.but each to their own I guess
Don't mention it.

Boy, you're a special kind, aren't you? I was nothing but civil with you.
If you could read, you would see that there are no STOCK performance calipers. You bought STOCK replacement parts. You said going beyond that was "way too much". Let's refresh your memory, Ace.
Did this need repeated?
Then you shut down anyone helping by saying this (below).... you've already made up your mind to all of us to use STOCK replacement parts.
Brew will post some links shortly.... keep watching.

I guess my question is why didn't the OP use the 97-00 Expedition front 2wd rotors, calipers/w brackets for the brake upgrade. The calipers are bigger, and the rotors are set for that set up. It's like the 4x4 upgrade, but you have to use the rotors from the 2wd Expy/Gator. If you have a question about the brake pad size, just compare the stock 679 pads vs the 702's on the Expy. That right there will show the difference. It's night and day. The rotors are the same diameter, but they are offset to fit the bigger calipers. This is why you have to use the Expy rotors, not the 150s.

Well, since AK spilled the beans, this is the big piston (s) F150 HD 7700 caliper, - the 4WD version, larger HD Expy/Nav rotors and Drag Reduction kit, -
