I hate when that happens Ohio! That was a lot of monkeying around to get that painted just right....then it cracks.
Break out the fine black touch up pen. Dup sells those as well....and go for Iduno, the sculpted look ? Better keep in handy though, above the visor or center counsel.
But yea, sucks!

I sanded them down real well with 200-grit, cleaned with 91% isopropyl, then applied 2 coats of Duplicolor's adhesion promoter and 3 coats of their Trim & Bumper Black. The first one I did is fine. One of these two actually developed hairline cracks the next day, so I disassembled it, stripped it, and repainted it. The only thing I did differently between emblem #1 and #2/#3 is the drying time for the adhesion promoter. I'll be letting that dry for a few hours or overnight on the next go-'round. (I'm going to call Duplicolor first. Maybe I can at least get them to send me a coupon for another can of the black.)

Well we turned down card game invite tonight, fairly new couple has been joining in lately. Great folks, but man, they start drinking a little bit and all they do is insult each other the rest of the night. Tolerable at first, but now we got ask if they are going to be there before we commit. Terrible, what can you do. We have a bon-fire we can stop by, might do that for a bit lol.
This dude is HAPPY! Just scored a Lightning 351 GT40 lower for 300.... going to go pick it up tomorrow morning. The unicorn has been found!
Also just successfully fixed the TCC solenoid on the Escape tonight. Took me about 2 hours longer than it should have because Ford used a bunch of variable length bolts on the VB, and I wasn't paying attention well enough on some of them because they were so close in length..... anyway, it's all better. Not too bad for an 18 dollar fix.
Got the solenoid at the wrecking yard because everyone wanted 300-400 dollars for it, and also had to order it. My Buddy went over with me to the yard, and told me "there was a CD4E sitting under a car over here, let's go see if it's in good shape". It had a rusty pan, but DAMN did it look good inside. I bought the solenoids, and my Buddy bought the VB because it was almost new.
