I asked her another Mustang brake question, and Wilson Pickett came on with Mustang Sally.

I figure with that response, she could ask some of the questions floating around on here right now. She would make as much sense as some of them.

She likes to default to song...as if singing solves anything lol...good for a chuckle though.

Huh, yea, I've never heard her say "Sorry, I not sure" yet. May have got stuck with Alexa Beta Baby version AK.

Yea, that's the biggest PITA, the parts that have to be removed to get at those dang things. If your a 1 man show, those doors are awkward and heavy.
Yeah my rockers need fixing BAD.... but other trucks are further ahead on the priority list lol (mainly cz my 03 is my DD and I can't afford the downtime currently)
Started work on the Highboy. The Rust is always worse when you tear into it it's all fixable tho cz my buddies place has 6 parts trucks out back we can scavenge from

Wow, yea , pick up your feet before they're eaten lol.

New metal is the cure-all. Like you said, it's the downtime...spare time as well. Still wish I had some of my old 70's Fords. What happened to that JD you refurbed ? Still around ??

Yep, making some patch panels from clean metal on non reproduced parts and then I have OEM reproduced inner rocker, floor board, and cab corners to go on as well.

And oh yes the model B isn't going anywhere lol. Need to rebuild the carb before our county fair this July. Can't be running max rpms for the entire antique Tractor parade.... not again at least lol. I'm thinking some gunk got stuck below the needles cz when I go to adjust them nothing changes... so tear down, clean out, and put the carb back on... then should be good to go!

Edit* also that's not me, it's my buddy who's helping and letting my truck stay at his barn lol

Love the old JD. My buddy has a 420i, 2 cylinder popcorn popper. I found him a new carb for his last year for around 70 plus shipping. THose old draft carbs are a pain sometimes, and they are so freaking simple. You just have to think sort of backwards to fix them. They are really that easy. His could use some tie rods. That sob is all over the road, but it still gets the job done.

How are the front cab mounts. Those were some of the first to go back when we had the salted highways. Then the cab corners and finally the rockers. Oh, and let's not forget the wheel arches in the bed. lol. It's nice to save an old dentside, and make it your own. I wish I had my 78 back. I don't miss the 400 though. lol

Holy cow... what a night! My 8 year old wound up going to Primary Childrens Hospital last night due to an allergic reaction. Unfortunately, we have no idea to what the reaction is. The thought right now is possibly gnats, which I didn't know was even possible.

Got in the Toyota this morning and could smell a burnt electrical smell... not too sure what the hell it is, but this prompted me to give some love to the F150 and drive her. What a damn fine truck it is. Always trusty and ready to go. Probably won't be so happy when I drive it home tonight though, LOL.... seeing as how the A/C is still not fixed/charged. It's supposed to get around 80 degrees today.

I'm the only IT person here at work for the rest of the week, or I would have came in late today.... on days like today, I take these. Hope they work as good as they usually do, LOL.

Now you have had too much going on. I've haven't heard of a gnat allergy either but that sounds awful.

Thanks, it'll be in the family as long as I'm alive lol. The carbs are really simple... which frustrates me that I apparently didn't get all the dirt out and have to tear it down again.

Front cab mounts are luckily in perfect shape. Cab corners were gone and the vent box was rotten too... which is why that whole front side was taken out. The rear cab corner was bad and it started in on the rocker fortunately we had a spare truck to cut those parts off and clean up to patch in where the patch panels stop.

Nice, yea I just wanted to see a pic of it again lol. I'll get myself one some day. My little JD is a tough little guy. Tiny thing will move a mountain of snow, probably the most surprising over the years. JD made this one only one year. But it was a good year!

Not the pic I was after, dangit!

Gnats, haven't seen them around for awhile, not sure what attracts them. Yea, haven't heard of that one yet. Guess I thought they came around when very hot and muggy. I do know there's some nasty tics out there, deer tics if I recall, that we humans can have a bad reaction too. Hope your 8 year old is alright.

Someone over cooked the rice ehhh. Yea the F150 always reliable and trusty. I need to get the 98 at least road worthy, have to haul some drywall and lumber, don't even want to ask to borrow a truck...man will I get harassed lol.

Does that Ginsink stuff work ? 3 tabs per box ? Pills must be the size of hockey pucks...killer longevity I expect. Perhaps I'll add to the stash. I already know the woman will frown on it.
