A worn out ignition switch could have worn out to the point that the they barely make contact. Making a lot more problems come from one.
how many miles does your Ignition switch have on it?
I am on the same thought train. Its gotta be one major issue affecting everything together. The kick panel grounds look brand new and clean with zero corrosion. To my knowledge the ignition switch is original so 213xxx miles. I may buy one and swap it out since its fairly easy and I should be able to return it if it doesnt solve my problem.

2100.....most parts stores won't take back electrical items. If the switch shows marks, you'll own it.

Was it raining when your truck stopped? Been wet. I realize there are 3 BCM codes, so that makes me wonder if the GEM has gotten wet. Just spitballing, but you do have B codes.

If I'm reading this right, it does crank but doesn't start. Is that correct?

Hasnt rained in over 10 days.
Mostly correct, it cranks over and every once in a blue moon will start and then stall and die 1-2 seconds after.... but 95% of time just cranks.

Yea, apparently that other B1428 was for Buick,Cadillac,GMC and Chevy...not Ford.-

https://www.autocodes.com/b1428.html

So that kind of screwed things up. Usually they are a little more generic than that.

Regardless and if you have the means, check pressure. Can you confirm that the pump is at least energizing ? Can you hear it for a few seconds KOEO ?

I know those ignitions wear out. The kids don't keep the old 98's key on a chain anymore. Otherwise it falls out of the ignition and hits the floor while they're driving lol.

You could pull the key out of one of the step vans we had in Minot, too. That was the same one that I could use my Pontiac key on. Messed people up when the van was gone but the key was still hanging on the board.

FWIW from the manual:
P0232: voltage at the FPM when the fuel pump is commanded to be off.
B1318: Although it's named about the battery all the pin point tests from the manual, section 414-02, Generator and Regulator. The tests are all regulator parameter measurements of voltage and resistance of the regulator along with some fused jumper tests.

Yes I can hear the pump prime with KOEO.

You might want to consider hooking your chime back up. There is some information on where to start looking for the fault based on if the chime is working normally with the code and if the chime isn't working properly with the code. Although the code is listed as the drivers door chime it is also the same circuit for the headlights being left on with no key in the ignition.

B1428 is in both 1999 Vol 2 of the service manuals and the Powertrain Control/Emissions Diagnosis Service Manual as a seat belt light circuit failure.

Good! As in that pretty much eliminates a ground issue with the pump....unless it's an intermittent fault. Probably not.

Back to fuel pressure then, have to get that out the way. You know what they say, fuel first lol.
