My neighbors on the other side of him are an elderly couple, and he's always giving them the business (even more so). He puts up signs in the windows with messages on them (to the other neighbor, not me). He also got away with spraying the other neighbor with the hose while he was using a table saw because 11 am was too early to be hearing that. And my children are in the area, and several others.

If the fence is illegal, that's fine. But I'll wait for the county to come tell me. Then I'll put up what is legal. I seriously doubt I'll hear a word from the county though. Right now it's getting wire tied to my chain link fence. I don't need him looking over here anymore.

I can't wait to move.
Sucks, but yea, I would move my family away from that.

Yeah, I will as soon as I get some of these horrible medical bills paid off. Between my two surgeries, and my Wife's.... we're getting sucker punched from everyone right now.

Oh, and you can bet the ranch that I'll either have a long ear shot from my neighbors, or I'll know who they are.

Right! Background checks! - If only you could do that without receiving info that you don't care to know lol.

When looking for a new place, IF you go that route. I guess you could look up complaints in a neighborhood, public record stuff or just talk with the neighbors in the area. I'm for country living myself. I'm on about 3 acres, not totally country but countryish and it's peaceful. Neighbors are all different but they are good ones, we help each other when mother nature has her fury. IME- Most of the time you'll have good neighbors. Some who keep their property up and some that don't but that's the extent of it.

He went off on my Wife yesterday while I was at work, and I can't have that.

This has taken a great deal of self control for me. In my younger years, I would have gone over there and handled it less than diplomatically. It really pisses me off that he can be such a jerk and I can't do a thing about it.

I've got a feeling there's going to be more fireworks today.
Im sure i can say that our hearts and our prayers are going out to you friend- you are in a difficult situation- as my wife has MS, i can sympathize with you on medical costs, and the related issues.- i think you are doing the right thing, right now- if he tries to take down your fence- i think that would be invasion/destruction of private property- perhaps trespassing- at that point, law enforcement would be involved.
May you and your family be safe, secure and blessed!

Sounds like your neighbor needs to move to the country...or better yet the Everglades. Lets see how he gets along with the neighbors there.

Signs in the winders are targets.

Seriously though, feel for you and your family having to go through this. It's major stress that's very much uncalled for. For it to get the point of relocation being your only resort, it's a very terrible ordeal to be forced into. I can understand the weight this must have on your mind at all times of the day and hope you find away past this soon. No one can be happy living this way so you must harness the strength (that you definitely are blessed with) within as at the very least your family and yourself deserve peace, happiness in your own home.

Thanks Bear, it took a little editing to get what I wanted to say out here. It's getting real close.

Hey Brew, I really appreciate that. It has been a really tough ordeal. I feel I am a pretty level headed person overall. Calling my family names really lights the fire inside me, and the little devil on my shoulder makes me want to knock his block off. But the angel prevails when I am reminded that I can't be going to jail, and want to keep my record spotless. I might dip into my 401K to get this crap all resolved to get out of here.

Please don't take this as me being racist.... but he is a white supremacist. I would love to sell my house to a boat load of minorities just to get the last jab in.
