Thanks for the help Jp, I can find out tomorrow if I decide to call on it. Not really looking for a full time tow vehicle. I'm only pulling the travel trailer to one more spot, then brooming it after a year or two. But I do need the 1 ton payload to pull another trailer for building materials. Going to sign over the 150 to my kid I guess, we are going to fix it up. Sentimental to her..it was the first truck she drove for awhile. I already called BS, I think she just wants a free truck and all those parts out of her garage lol.

Anytime Brew. I would have a hard time letting go of a truck I had that long. I guess that's why I'm doing suspension upgrades on my 29 year old first vehicle right now. Lol

Well, I almost did a few months back, but now she's showing an interest. I just didn't want to sit once I get another.

Damn, you still have your first ? My firsts didn't survive lol.

Oh ok I get the direction now. Sounds like good motivation to get it back to fighting form.

Well my very first was a $350 86 Ranger with a camo rattle can paint job. It didn't survive. Lol

I call the little bronco my first because I worked every weekend for a year to save up enough to buy it and it was the first thing I ever drove on the highway that was in my name.

Kinda hard to believe that was 18 years ago. Lol

I have my 4th vehicle still.... My first was a 79 Audi 5000, second was an 85 Subaru GL, third an 85 Mustang GT, and number four was my 89 Mustang GT. It is also a 29 year old vehicle, getting set to get a lot of lovin' this summer.

I'll have to admit though, there are some times that I think about selling it. It sits more than I would care to admit, and as you know, sitting takes its toll on cars. The rack and pinion I put in it 3 or 4 years ago already has cracked boots.... seriously MIGHT have 2000 miles on it, TOPS. I at least fit my F150 into the rotation 5 or 6 times a month..... as opposed to 5 or 6 times a year for my car.

So, JP, somehow I missed that you had a B2. What do you have done to it? Have you 4.0 swapped it?

Yessir, I do have one. It sat for years after the a4ld bit the dust so I have been rehabbing it for the time being. I picked up a low mileage a4ld that was in an explorer, it has Torrington bearings rather than thrust washers, so I'm hoping it lasts. I have ex springs front and rear and am in the process of welding up a winch bumper atm. I lost an axle seal on the little 7.5" so I'm looking for an 8.8 and d35 combo in the 4.10 flavor before I drop in a 4.0 or everything will be fried....

wow... after typing that out I'm realizing that this is going to be an undertaking. Lol

I have a couple of guys I know..... met them on therangerstation.com - that have done the all of that stuff. I think one of them, which sadly burnt in a garage fire, even had a 4R55E swap.

If you're interested, here are their build threads....

Lol, kind of hard to believe 18 years ago my truck was a little over a year old. About that same, I got all upset because someone caught my door with theirs in a parking lot...put a barley visible crease in my molding. Shoot, now the truck looks battle tested lol.
