Hey watz up? I've been lazy this past week and have done very little, including being on site. I just checked the 6.8 in 2010 and it is solid gear, no VCT's. I think this is a damn good thing. lol. I hate working with them. I'm glad it was you Whitey who had to fix your neighbors 3v.
I'm going to try and do some hydrodipping this afternoon on the door switch trim covers for lil Red. I have a spare set, so I'm going to match them to the Navigator steering wheel wood. I figure if those turn out well, then I can go ahead and do the radio surround, so that things all match up. I'll post up the pictures when they are dry and clear finished. IF they turn out decent enough. My Mustang's silver carbon fiber one's really came out nice and goes well with my black interior. This is what that one I did this last summer, and had to wait to find a right side one for lil Red, so I can now do the dip and see how it turns out.
I put these in my 07 Mustang and they set off the black door panels, along with the Grabber Blue pipe weld around the door panel trim circle.
looks like.

So while I was under the dash of my Toyota, I looked up and saw this strange looking contraption. Wondering what it was, I noticed it was part of the steering column and had wires hanging out of it...... then BAM, it hit me. Never paid much attention to the fact this thing has no power steering pump.... because it has electric steering. So, right now, my wheels are turning. I would LOVE to adapt this to work on my Mustang. It currently has no power steering because I got sick of a leaky rack and pump.
Have any of you had any experience with this, by chance? I know a little bit about them through some research.... like the fact I need a unit with fail safe mode, or need to provide a VSS signal with a control module. I think I'd rather just do a fail safe unit. Anyway, I hope I can figure out a way to do this.
