Thinking
I’m just ready to get out of Michigan... no offense Jbrew
Also y’all got some d!ckhead drivers lol ... I thought the east coast was bad but geez. You have a lane that opens up for a Michigan left but it’s dang near a football field long so I’m not sure to get over the second the lane opens but I’ll be damned if 30 cars don’t floor it to hurry up and wait at the red light and not letting anyone else over. And the weaving/cutting people off when you’ve got 4lanes is just crazy. Never seen so many almost accidents on a single mile stretch of road.... and you could have half as many stoplights on those 20mile Long roads if you just turned left like normal people lololol

I called my daughter this morning to go out and check things out. It's maintaining 55* inside. Still have running water, (nothing exploded). All the pipes are enclosed in a heated compartment. It's survived so far, however she did say she could feel cold air coming through the windows. That's what we are going to do out there this weekend. Install a 3M insulation layer on the windows and a reflective layer on top of that. To reflect the heat inside vs getting sucked out the windows. The sky lights will get radiant shield to help heat it during the day.
It's all set up for solar. I haven't purchased a system for it yet though, this requires more research on my part. I figure once successful with this little project, I'll be ready to build a house that's more less self sufficient. Off the grid somewhere

Ask Drillrig.
Yea, we are 140' away from a plug in. Although we can run this thing on battery and propane, I still need to run the inverter and fireplace. So I had to make a 3 pole 4 wire extension cord for it. Out of 4 awg SOOW cable. The cords 80 lbs with 2 Hubbel female/male plugs rated for 60 amps. A $700 extension cord....

like why do you speed up to pass somebody just to slow down the second you get in front of the person... AND REPEAT FOR MILES lol Utah wasn’t so much as rude just more frustrating lol
I won't, it's a long stretch. Voltage drop for 140' with #4 is around 1.46%. As long as your under 3% your safe. It's a 240V cable, but it doesn't use 240V. It uses the 2 120 volt poles separately. I'm using a 30 amp breaker vs a 55 amp. Sort of a test. The breaker doesn't trip so I'm not even using half those amps. The real test will be this weekend when mama plugs in the hair dry/curling iron while the fire place is kicking (overgrown elec space heater). Then there's the coffee pot, heating blanket...Man woman require a lot of amps.

it’s been snowing here but nothing sticking
