Brew....I must of missed something. Where are you moving to? As far as this thread dying, at times yes, other times 300=500 hits a day. It's summer. Lots of people were not on these sites during the 4th. On other threads, I'm pretty much stopped in posting to them. I got tired of the BS from some of the newer members. I did post on the thread of the new guy from Kodiak AK but haven't been posting much other.

Whitey.....There was a Kennedy tool box on our local Craigslist not too long ago. It was sold in less that 30 minutes. Strong boxes, that's for sure. Lots of Snappy or Mac or Matco or even some Cornwell boxes on the net right now. It;s the time of the year for moving to different places, and they are popping up all over this summer.
I listed my house around the same time White did for an astronomical amount lol. Truly, I didn't think it would sell. Well, sold it in under two weeks. Yea you must of missed it, I've been posting about it in this thread all along. No one seemed interested, so I gave it a rest lol. The sale was contingent upon giving me 6 months to find another. So I've been in essence renting it since then. I'm building my next one and recently purchased a travel trailer to live in on site. The trailer is still being built. Had to go custom. The trailer being built will R30 floors and R40 roof. Walls are maxed out at R7 with double pain tinted windows. Didn't plan on going too crazy on a trailer, but if Doc was going to stay there and help with the build part time, it needed certain amenities lol. Still we compromised with one another. It's only about 33 feet, two air conditioners, fireplace, outside kitchen, theater seating, etc... Enough to make it comfortable for both of us. The house could take 3 years to complete....so I invested in a quality built travel trailer to get by.

Sounds like you got everything in place and it will be something that you and Doc put your time and energy into to make it special. I applaud you. Whitey too. Time to get what you guys want and then enjoy it.

I know exactly what you mean. But yea, there are GOOD people worthy of helping out every now and again.
I guess what I dislike most is how the Mods side with new comers and attempt to preach. It must be a new member quota thing. Never the less, there are good members who I like to help out and new members that come along who genuinely appreciate it. Have to rely on your intuition I expect.

I've taken so much of my stuff to the landfill, or donated it. I literally have taken 6 of the medium size Home Depot boxes full of clothes and donated them. I've donated far more than I am keeping, LOL.

I knew you'd put the house up for sale and sold it.... but did you ever find a place? Is the market hot right now in your area? I had 5 offers the same day I listed mine.... it's unbelievable.

Wait, I technically had it listed for two days beforehand, but didn't officially accept offers until we had an open house.

I haven't been as active on here because of my moving, etc. Everything will all simmer down soon though... I hope. On the Kennedy box, my Dad said he wants all of his boxes to match. He has a couple red Craftsman boxes, and apparently the Kennedy clashes with them, LOL. I don't care. I just like having a home for my tools, and don't care what color the box is.

If I was buying a brand new box right now (which may still do) I'd go with one of the new HF US Generals. I have two of them at work, and they are REALLY decent boxes for the money.

Post #3511 . Yea, I wasn't looking for a place. One or two pages back I mentioned I'm building one, building a Big Red Barn first, -2 story.

I would say it's hot, it's a sellers market right now. There isn't enough homes to go around. I mean they're out there. My daughter is an agent on the side and doing very well at the moment. Part time she sits in the office and handles walk-ins. Most of those who are looking for home. When she gets someone wanting to sell, it goes quickly. She's in lala land with the money she's made thus far. Seriously, she's finds seller or they find her rather and a sell is in the bag. But yea, sellers market around here.

Washed my truck for the first time in about 6 months today and it rained 2 freaking hours later...

In other news, I'm working on a job opportunity up in Montana. I can't live the simple life paycheck to paycheck anymore. It's nice being home with my family, but what's the point if we don't have extra money to take trips and enjoy our lives.

Lol, the same way here, well just about. My garbage will take just about anything as long as I there to help load up.

I burned 4 dressers I was hanging onto to store stuff in the big shed out back, they were cheap dressers.

Donating a bunch of stuff to the salvation army, washer/dryer furniture mattress/box springs...I don't want to store the stuff, been lucky enough to have a few friends store my stuff for now, don't want to burden them with too much.

I have 1 maybe 2 truck loads of steel for the salvage yard.

It's a big job moving. I hit box #60 just a moment ago. Doc has been helping with numbering boxes and listing the contents thoroughly since they are going to be stored for awhile.

etc etc....

Yep, it looks wet lol.

Did the same thing. Worked 7 days a week, long hours for that mighty dollar...away from home. It was worth it. You do what have to do when providing for your family and your future. Hopefully you won't be away for to long Drill.
