LOL, yes indeed. Funny is my middle name.

We'll see how it goes. I've never built a forum from the ground up, I've only taken over after they were established.

Hey guys, how's it going? I'm having a weird issue with my truck. It's making a weird noise when I'm in reverse backing up. I don't really know how else to describe it so bear with me on this one....
It sounds like a squeaky mattress when two people are getting busy and the sound speeds up as my speed increases. This only happens in reverse. Any ideas?

Maybe a dry u-joint that is really worn. I've had them make noise either way or both ways.

What would be the best way to check that?

Block the front wheels, raise the rear off the ground and use either a bar (screw driver etc) and see if there is any play. You might also visualize a worn one. Leave it in park, try and rotate the wheel and see if the driveline pops or makes noise. Something on that order anyways. Each person does it differently. You are looking for movement

I'm with AK on this. They are relatively easy to fix. When I couldn't back mine up and had no tools on hand I soaked each ear of the u-joint in pblaster and the sound went away for a couple of days. So I knew that was my problem.

My Lord, what are talking about grasshopper ?

I expected Jp to catch this, but Mattresses don't squeak unless your water bed springs a leak. Becomes kind of a slip and slide.

What squeaks is the box springs, head board hardware. Transfers to walls and foundations if she has talent.

I can't comment on the reverse thing...def not my style.

So yea, your description is sort of a fail.

Just a tip, - develop a taste for brussle sprouts. At the very least, learn how to napkin them at the dinner table and keep your damn opinions to yourself.

It way to late for me, -just a suggestion.

BTW- anyone know how long it takes to wear off ? I mean once a woman becomes offended over food ?
