Boston Markets is failing too. 🙄
I don't have gephydrophobia, cuz my fear ain't irrational.
- and here's just more proof... 😑
They had minutes of warning, and apparently not enough time to put out a call for ALL tugs to heave to and push-back.
No drop anchors, was in the news? 😒
She runs great... just dies if you try to idle it. 😏
They had pontoons for lil Hondas. I shud calc some for the 150. I know it's not water tight like an old bug... 🤭
I'm reminded of returning to dock with a pal in a 25.5 ft deep V Bayliner we co-bought, and I said it was my turn to bed it. He had grown up on a twin-screw, handled like any tank. He warned me a guy whose boat he banged against coming out with a pole made to fend us off...
"Yeah, with no keel like [all these ] sail boats, which turn on a dime, you'll hit some." (Just how did he imagine that was acceptable?!?)
...And the guy did come hurrying out. I idled it past him and down the channel between the piers. Approaching our slip, ... Better start turning now." I did, then straightened back out. "No - too soon." Idled into out slip, 6" in front and all sides, dead stop. Basically, all of it was a 4-wheeled slow-mo drift. He was a very capable fellow but I gained a lil respect from him that day.

Seems there are a number of class-action suits against GM and the 2.4 ecotech motor. We got her added to the one out of Missouri last week. What is weird, in the earlier models, GM was stepping up, and supposedly fixed the problem, only to have to reappear, and now it's getting a lot of attention in the courts. Chevy told her 12k to replace that motor. She getting a new long block installed for 4600 plus fluids, etc, with a 3 year warranty. It's good to still have friends with businesses that won't rape you.
It sure is nice to know people! A lot of times, I'm the "people" though, lol. That GM motor is a pile. I don't think it's as bad as the Chrysler 2.4 though.
LOL... good luck getting the Taurus back. That's the pits, but I understand. I've always made sure my Wife has a good mode of transportation.

Blue is in Surprise AZ. I sold it to my old GF and she still has it. She had it shipped to Seattle, then drove it to Phoenix. It still has only 140k on it. I kind of wish I had kept it for my current lady, as her 2016 Equinox took a dump with 99k on the 2.4 pos motor. The PCV tube freezes up on those and blows the oil out of the rear main seal. What a freaking joke. I have her using my 012 Taurus while that pos is getting a new heart (gm won't warranty and she's paying for the motor replacement herself).. I think I've lost my Taurus to her. LOL
