Honestly, I like those better than the 97-03. I still think it's funny that basically my least favorite truck ever ended up in my driveway as my friggin' daily driver.

A clean truck always attracts.. up here anyway. It's also good looking, a very likable color....the color of dirt.

I was looking for a SD/7.3. Drove a dozen or so, each more clapped out than the last, and all twice blue book. Anything that turns all four wheels in CO is priced by lunatics, but especially Toyotas and SDs. This one was in great shape (other than the effed-up throttle body and the crud in the cooling system hiding the cracked intake) and priced fairly, so I put my search out of its misery.

2001 F-150 Lariat SuperCrew 4X4 5.4L Gas w/4R70W. Has the right stuff , clean, could go another 10 yrs plus easy... and still remain reliable if rust doesn't find it.
