Ohio put up an interesting link recently about Goodyear Gatorback belts are now labeled Continental. Could be why I had a hard time locating one. AFA the Motorcraft stuff, sellers couldn't give me a delivery date. I did give up on it too easy though, could of called around local...didn't. So I guess choice for me now is Continental belts/hoses, Gates and Motorcraft of course.
Just finished my wiring project... then the Wife asked me to replace one of the "wonky" receptacles in the kitchen. Then I look and notice they don't match anymore, LOL. So, I went back outside and got more and made them all match.
So... weird question. Brew, I almost put some of my 20A receptacles in there instead. I hesitated because I wouldn't want someone to plug into it thinking it was good for 20A though, so I stuck with the 15A. I usually like to replace electrical components with higher rated pieces, but my brain put this particular case into a different perspective. What do you think on this?
Must be at least #12 wire is all. 20 amp at max load is good for a little over 50' w/#12. Residential homes normally won't get near that. You do need #12 for 20amp though. ALA you have that no problem...better receptacles.
And the home is wired to code of course. 20 amp rec on 14 wire isn't code though. I personally wouldn't do it.
Everything the builder did is 14 gauge. Everything I've done has been 12, with the exception of the garage 220, and 8/3 is what I used on that. That was a real 8!tch to work with too.
EDIT: This summer... one of my top plans (maybe even more than the 351 project) is getting more outlets in the garage. I'll probably use the gray PVC conduit for that project. Seems easier.
