the adjustable latch post may be exactly what I need. I am getting a little wind noise on my passenger side front door too. Maybe it's all related.

I was thinking about replacing the latches, but figured I'd see if anyone has this problem or a fix before I start throwing money at it. I really have to slam the doors to get them to latch properly now, and even then I still get the rattle.
That would be annoying. I mean, how do you text, talk or play video games on your phone while driving with all that noise going on ?

Seriously, that would drive me loony.

Mine were rattling bad too. I adjusted all 4 doors to be a tighter fit and it stopped my rattles and wind noise I was getting. Just bc the doors are hard to shut doesn't mean they're pulling close to the body. Mine were hard to shut but it was because they were contacting the latch posts when closing

Also I should mention I put a crowbar in the extended cab door latch on the rocker panel and had to pry it a bit to get it to fit right. This was after the rocket panel replacement so it's very difficult to get that latch in the exact spot needed after reattaching it to the new rocker panel

What we used to do was take some clear multipurpose hose, and sit it and put it over the striker. That took all the slack out of the mechanism, which wears a bit, causing the rattles. You can also use a good tape and make it just perfect for your latches to go around and take away the noise also. Otherwise, it is latch replacement and or striker renew.

Oh yes, I'm back in Anchorage as of this afternoon. I spent 11 plus days in North Pole. Mustang's everywhere this trip. When I got home today, lil Red is free of ice and the snow is all gone around him. Tomorrow the seats go in. Maybe the back window and the trim also. Depending on the weather. It is a bit overcast with some light showers today. I see me doing something to him tomorrow, for sure. Time to put this butt on the road. lol

How's everyone one been. The internet, where I was, was shaky as hell. Sometimes you got a good signal, other times, not so good. I did manage to finally hook up my phone to access the net, so that was a plus. About time that the Iphone is put to use, other than just a message and talk thing. I also hooked up Alexa to it, and that damn little hockey puck is quite handy. lol

For the stroker mounted on the rocker panel, a long bar to twist it into place right. But be careful, you can only twist it so much before the panel it's mounted on will snap. And also a sledgehammer to pound it around too. We undid the bolts on the striker and pounded it back towards the truck to suck the door in more when its closed. Then the striker on the front doors is actually adjustable so just adjust it backwards to where it would suck the door in. Throughout the process, put a little tape or something on the strikers to make sure they aren't rubbing the sides etc. tricky process. I spent a few hours perfecting everything. Lots of loosening bolts, adjusting, re tightening and then checking again
