I want to get a jump start on the disassembly for the heater core tonight. My question is, with the airbag pulled out and disconnected, can I hook the battery back up so that my alarm is still functional? I really don't want to leave it unarmed all night.

When I did my clockspring, I moved my truck without the steering wheel airbag.... as I recall, the light came on, but that was all that happened. It was back off when I put it back together.

Do you write off gas as well? And if so, do you stretch your "work" mileage to the max??

I just count mileage. I may stretch it some but I try to stay realistic. If you go too far it may allow you not to pay as much of an income tax but it will also show you didn't make as much money. That is a bad thing when it comes time to apply for loans and they request your filed tax forms.

I see. I didn't think you could write off mileage and the cost of repairs? Maybe I'm wrong but I thought it was either 55ish cents per mile, or you can keep track of everything and do it that way?

It depends on which is better for me from year to year. I either take the standard or I'll itemize. I generally like to itemize whenever possible but sometimes I just don't have the expenditures.

Well finally my 98 Ford factory workshop manuals got here. I have wanted them for some time but they were always too damn expensive, especially for the two book set. I paid $49.00 including postage. They were is such nice shape. I have them for my Mustang, and now finally for the trucks. I already had the wiring diagram/vacuum book for both. He are a couple quick pics of them.

I just picked up the complete 5 book set for my 03 for $85. The two workshop manuals, the Emmissions Facts Summary, Specs book, and the CNG/Bi fuel book. They're also in beautiful shape.
