Quick question guys, if I were to install a 1500 watt continuous inverter what gauge wire should I be looking at using?

Good point Brew. I'll be mounting it under the middle seat up front in the truck.

4 awg would bare minimum for 1500. You can bump it up, but it's going to be fused anyway..

I said that sort of wrong. It's true in all but what's also true is a little bigger is better IF you have the room for it. Also, I'm sure you know, but make sure your using copper.

If it's going to get bombarded by salt, OFC cable might be a better choice but double in price. In most cases, it's overkill for automotive unless you have ocean front property lol.

Lol I hear you. I'll probably go 3 fused and I would never run any wire but copper my friend. Shouldn't see any salt either unless I forget to pit the truck in park at the landing.

I did that before with one of those old old 3 wheeler ATC's when I was iduno 12 maybe. Parked on top of a hill went in the house to catch the latest episode of Brady Bunch. While stuffing my face, I could hear the chain and sprocket going round and round on the 3 wheeler through the window then a splash. Didn't phase me until mom started yelling my name. She was in the garden, it rolled right past her. But yea, by the time I reacted, the 3 wheeler was floating upside wrong in the pond. Sucked, that was my ride man.

Damn, I do have an exhaust leak. It kind off crept up slowly. I guess it started after being underwater with that washout collision. Perhaps after nailing that monster chuck hole? She's in pain and getting loud about it. I'll let her rest. Since I don't even want to look yet lol.
