Brew...I'm not pissed at anyone, TODAY. Maybe tomorrow, but as of now, I'm fairly good. LOL

I didn't get chit accomplished today on lil Red. I did manage to try and charge the battery, only to find it is toast. Luckily I have another spare for my Mustang, so I'll throw that into it tomorrow for a few days, then get the right replacement battery.

I found something today, I've never seen before. My 06 Fusion, I gave my son, lost the brakes. He brought it home using the E=brake for stopping. I went out this morning and saw brake fluid all over the left rear wheel. I threw the track jack under it and pulled the wheel. The damn caliper was not on the rotor, but sitting behind the backing plate. The mounting screws had come out of the bracket, and when it came off, it threw the piston out.

We went ahead and replaced the caliper, rather than rebuild it. The new caliper came with bracket and mounting bolts, so the change out was quick and simple. It took longer to remove the 2 new bracket bolts on the new caliper than it did to do the whole job. He's up and running. I've just never saw a Ford caliper come off the bracket mount. Anyone of you ever saw that on a rear caliper? I've seen front, but never a rear. Just wondering.

Hey Bear....hope you have a great day at work.

Damn the luck. It is raining outside at a fairly decent rate. That makes it tough to work on lil Red today, so far. I'm holding out for a decent afternoon, so I can get some things done finally. I am so ready to start on this thing.

White....yes grey on the color of the plugs. I went yesterday to the local yards, and nothing for 2001 or lower is in them. One yard, who hasn't been able to get a Mustang since the late 90's had 3 of them yesterday, a Challenger and also 2 newer Camaros. I was shocked to see them there. They are usually grabbed by another yard, but this time, they stepped up and got some. Too bad they don't take care of the interiors better. Both passenger seats were out in the mud. That upsets me, since I ran a yard for 2 years, and that was a big NO-NO at my place. If the seat got pulled, it got covered and put in storage. There was none of this let them rot ideas. I sold more interior parts this way, and they were always decent shaped. I'm a stickler for this kind of thing. I don't like clutter and loss of profits. That's just my way of doing things. Evidently not Northwest's. lol

Hah!- you would shudder at the way they run yards around here!- disorganized mud holes with vehicles in them!- sad-
We are 2 weeks before our annual shut down- lots of parts showing up!

We have mostly self serve yards here. Those are really hard to get interior pieces at.... or anything plastic, such as grilles.

However, I do have a yard I go to when I need something that nobody has botched up. They pull it for you, or if you know the guy well enough... he'll let you go out there. I got the heads on my Mustang from them. He pulled them from a Mountaineer with 60,000 miles - and I got them for 125 dollars. Sure - I could have got them cheaper at another yard, but this guy only buys quality low mile vehicles.

Anyway, I was going to go after work yesterday... but I got hung up at work until 4pm and that yard closes at 5pm. Not much time for picking by the time I got there. So, I am sorry AK.

If'n you want to see what they've got, here's their webpage. Just go to inventory. The homepage will also tell you why I like to go on Wednesdays, LOL.

White....Thank you for the look at least. I appreciate it.

So you got some GT40 heads off the Mountaineer? Those things are dynamite on the 5.0 windsor block. I did that in my 90 F150 (other red one on my homepage). That truck moves now, compared to when I originally bought it back in 06. It only has 87k on it, and the motor was replaced at 62k, because the shop left out the drain plug. Actually filled it with oil and it drained into their floor service cube. They drove it out and around the block and it seized up on the way to the parking lot. They put in a long block from Ford. When I got it, I changed the heads almost immediately. I drove it quite a bit at first, but when the blue Gen 10 came along, it got parked.

Talking about my 90, a guy came by yesterday and made me an offer on her. I had just had my son go have it detailed, while I was gone. He parked it across the street, and the guy saw it. I was going to say I was keeping it. That was until he made the offer. I think that I will have to take him up on it. He offered me way more than I was thinking of asking. He left me a $500 cash deposit on it. This afternoon, I should have a bit more money, in case I want to add something to lil Red or Sonya. lol. Money burns a hole in my pocket sometimes. lol

Damn. The guy has already came and picked up my 90. He wanted it real bad, I guess. He was suppose to be here at 1230, but was here by 1010. 10 minutes later he and it are gone. I gave him to hard tonneau and a set of wheels to go with it. At least it helped clean out my storage shed. I had a big box of extra parts, I'd accumulated for it. I really loved that truck, just I like the Gen 10's better.

I think I'll sell my Blue 98 F150 this fall. It is only sitting at 125k, and has new tires, the FX4 wheels, all the goodies, so it should go quickly, I would hope. I need to unload a bit more tin. lol
