You can pull a 30 foot with slide outs pretty easy if you put some airbags under there.
I got the companies to drop the lumber at my door, or where the door is now, just to save some time.
I'm going to hook up to this one and see how it does. My brother just traded his old one (was only a year old, too small) in on this one, 30'.
They're pretty nice inside, I'll get a different layout IF I go new. Doesn't make sense for me to go new....probably loose money on it after 2 years or so. -
I thought they were more expensive than they are. It's an option if I can't find one used, (just started looking).
Think I'll need bags though ? I think my truck will handle the tongue weight myself...since it's a tandem.

You will probably be fine. You have an add a leaf already don't you?

Yes. It pulled a car hauler in the past, but since then I've taken the factory blocks out and swapped with after market plus 1" blocks. The new blocks don't extend out to the bump stops (over loads) on the frame. That's my only concern. If I hit a good enough dip....there's nothing preventing a negative arch. This could be bad. I could always put the old blocks back on, probably be a good idea.

Wouldn't be a bad idea. We have a 30 and it squats my truck but I have a feeling new springs are in my future.
This is with probably close to 800lbs tounge weight, not really squatting much. I only have a pro comp add a leaf with the factory block.
Maybe even more than that with how the pallets were arranged. Each pallet is 2500lbs.

I wouldn't need one that size..not sure , have to think about that. It might be a little much for the 150, but I don't plan on traveling with it. I can't think of what I won't have other than a washer dryer. Anyway, I could probably get away with 20' or 25'. I'd have to screw around with dumping tanks. Pole barn and septic field will be going in first.

He's pulling it with a 1/2 dodge, said it felt solid getting it home, 250 mile trip. Can't believe the power in that dodge, guess it pulled good as well.
You looked into going the concrete route? My dad and I built his house using insulated concrete forms and trust me that house is insulated as heck and will not be going anywhere if a tornado tries to fight it lol
Lower level at least 8' solid pore concrete. That's about all they do up here. They've come along way with that stuff, I need a re education to catch up since I haven't followed innovation too closely. Incorporating radiant heat into the slab adds a lot to overall comfy and efficiency.
Regardless, should be strong, a modest custom tree trunk build lol. With a big **** pole barn.

I drove my buddy's 2016 F150 w/3.5EB about a week ago. Talk about a pulling machine. That SOB would pull his 18' flat trailer, with a BobCat on the back with bucket and backhoe like it wasn't there. That is almost 6 tons on the trailer, and you couldn't tell it was back there. I'm sold on the new Ford 3.5. That is one tough, strong motor. Looking at it, it looks like a total nightmare to work on though. I'm not thrilled about that part.
Did you see the test for all the truck speeds that was posted recently. The F150 blew everything away but the Raptor, and the Raptor was the overall speed horse. The Dodge Cummins came in next to dead last. Nissan had that distinction. The F250 was 3rd fastest. The Chev/GMC Duramax was a surprise on it's runs. It was better than the 5.3. I'll try and post it up when I find where I downloaded it to.
