That is almost 6 tons on the trailer, and you couldn't tell it was back there. I'm sold on the new Ford 3.5. That is one tough, strong motor. Looking at it, it looks like a total nightmare to work on though. I'm not thrilled about that part.

Did you see the test for all the truck speeds that was posted recently. The F150 blew everything away but the Raptor, and the Raptor was the overall speed horse. The Dodge Cummins came in next to dead last. Nissan had that distinction. The F250 was 3rd fastest. The Chev/GMC Duramax was a surprise on it's runs. It was better than the 5.3. I'll try and post it up when I find where I downloaded it to.
I would love to see that whole test when you find it.

X2, I'd like that as well. I've seen the three diesel trucks all put to the test, and the PSD came out on top.

That new 3.5 is a great motor. I hear they've added an injector, or are planning to, that shoots fuel on the back of the intake valve. The direct injection motors get a lot of buildup on the intake injectors because there is no fuel to clean them on the way through.

Found the article I read about the two injectors... it says:

The engine features an all-new, Ford-first dual-direct and port fuel-injection system. Two injectors per cylinder – one mounted in the intake port where air enters the cylinder and one positioned inside the cylinder – work together to improve power output, efficiency, and emissions.
But yeah... the injectors are getting carbon buildup from hell on them, and this is to help alleviate that.

I went to dig out lil Red last night, and found it still in 8 inches of ice on the front wheels, and at least 3 or more on the rear. It looks like it won't be worked on until I get from from the North Pole again. I had hoped to be able to get him out, but that ice is so deep and solid, it's not worth the damage it might cause trying to get him out early. Here's a couple pics of his predicament.

A popular oddball thread lol. But it happens on other sites as well. Kind of cool really. A chance to add in a little personal drama....what was the topic again?

Man you have some saturation in AK. Starting to dry up here, still squishy tho. Can't wear my slippers outside side yet without achieving a soaker.

Light coating of water on top of ice. It glaciated when they decided to pile snow in a spot they've never stacked it before. They won't do that again I'll bet.

With the weather clear and sunny, and to be in the 50's this weekend, lil Red should be free to move when I get back from North Pole whenever I come back.

I think AK likes what they do with candy canes at the North Pole!
Its getting nicer here- more rain than anything- but the temperature is much better!
Been stuck on last 12's this week- had a bad electrical issue- put the whole facility down! Trying to get the place running again!
You fellers have a great weekend- stay safe, keep your whistle wet and your powder dry!
