What do you guys think? Looks like maybe too much of a project.... Roosevelt is 175 miles away from me too, so add a tank of gas onto that, lol.

This leaves me needing to buy a lot of crap though.... if I find one for a 95ish F150, I can use a lot more stuff off of mine on this - but the block is weaker.

My goal here is 450-500 horsepower N/A, which will split a 302 in half.

AK, is 1981 the stronger block?

60 bucks lol, somebody's trying to make a fortune. I know I have at least dozen of those plugs, different sizes. Brass/copper as well, only 8 bucks apiece max. They definitely seal though.

Regardless, they are generally used in plumbing, haven't seen them used in automotive. They also have or come with a T-handle or ring to tighten or expand, they don't require much torque. Looks as though someone just replaced the T-handle with a hex head then added the heavy price tag lol. Not sure on the pressure rating, never used them under pressure. More less a plug or a stopper....temporary. I expect they would fail eventually in the cylinder. Oil/fuel eventually compromising the seal. Maybe not, could be a high grade silicon plug I guess. But still why in the hell would you do that for a extended period lol. ?

Lol, I didn't see it mentioned, are the injectors disconnected ? You can get away with leaving the injectors connected with a low grade miss, but a completely dead cylinder and he has 2 ? It would be pumping quite a bit of raw fuel. Ahhh, they have to be disconnected, that much fuel would stink or worse, shoot flames.

He hasn't answered yet.... in fact, I think he's vacated the premises all together, lol.

Seriously, in that car? Guess I've been out of it too long lol. So you would swap the 302 for a 351 ? Complete?

Yeah.... it needs some mods to make it work. Like my stock hood needs cut, or go to a cowl hood (very easy to find). The stock A9L ECU will run a 351, no problem. The 302 HO and 351 use the same firing order. The dizzy is taller on a 351, so I need a dizzy from an F150/Bronco/Econoline. It will be some work, but the 351 is a much stronger block, so it's worth it.

I've seen 460's in these, and even Coyotes.
