Talk about a s4!tty day. Upstairs toilet got clogged. Bent the **** out of my auger, so I went to Lowes and got a new one. Bent the **** out of that one too (got so far in the toilet, and it turned around). Called a plumber. Easter weekend = 450 dollar minimum charge. Eff that. I poked around and found that Home Depot carries a really heavy duty 6 foot auger made by Ridgid. So, I went and picked that pig up, and WOW. Talk about a quality piece... WITH a lifetime warranty. Highly recommended for any home owner with a toilet.

EDIT: Also got one of these bad boys.... Didn't use it though.

I had both for about 5 years, used them both once. Ridgids, they both work great, yea the toilet one works quick, even when little kids stop them up with what ever they can find. I had the drill/hand crank one in the box for years, just used it about 2 months ago for the bathroom sink (slow drain) and that one worked good as well..just have to be careful not to twist it up. But yea, that toilet one is fast works great!

That sucks!- one of the boys flushed a plastic pop sicle stick down one time. Got cross ways in the bottom of the stool! Water would pass, but nothing else- ended up pulling the stool to find the problem!- needless to say, ive already instructed the grandkids!!
Ahh the joys of home ownership!!
