Don't think I mentioned this last night... but now both of my youngest daughters have the virus. I think my Wife has it too, but she's just not telling me.
I don't have any symptoms, and neither does my oldest.... but we are the only two that got our shots recently.
Since I've had a hard time locating the upper intake that I want for the 351 swap, my brain keeps telling me that I should "try" to make one. I started scouring around on the internet seeing if anyone had tried my idea yet. I found someone that started my idea, but I don't see any final results. I have one of these just sitting here... so it's tempting.
No matter how bad I want to work on something else (LOL), the 2011 Escape needs maintenance. Any of you have and DIY (and cheap) methods of recovering R134A?
Well... oil is done, atf is done, went to move on to the A/C. My Wife called me the yesterday and said that the air coming out of the vents was stinky. So, I started poking around and I think it leaking PAG out of the box under the dash. I think I'm in for some more parts and time.
It's not antifreeze either... This uses the yellow stuff, and that is green.

Someone put a tracer dye in it or it had it in the oil to begin with.
It is UV reactive and will glow under a black light to find the source of the leak.
Here is a pic of a compressor I changed this fall under the UV black light.

Glad you missed it.
I was up north hunting and took off for a booty call after dark during a snowstorm.
As I came around a curve 2 elk were standing in the road.
If it hadn't been snowing and I was driving the speed limit, I would probably have hit them.
Some Silliness today. I did a Smoke test and even though The EGR, IAC and Active 4x4 solenoid (Right one?) passed the expensive scan tool tests, All three of them let the smoke. They were all leaking a small amount but definitely enough to warrant a change. Odd thing because I have already changed the IAC and EGR since I got the truck. Around the time I did my intake manifold 2 years ago.
4x4 solenoid through the cap
IAC through the cap
EGR though the under side diaphragm
The stupid VolLant CAI was also leaking from the AIT sensor hole, Passenger side cam cover return and one of the clamps.
I guess I'll be changing those on Monday instead of the exhaust manifolds. I didn't want to do it yet anyway. lol
