Thinking
Hope you got it all back in yesterday as it's getting soaked today.
"they don't fail very often if at all"
He don't work on many BMWs, that's for sho.
I believe he's mainly speaking about the Motorcraft/Visteon/Denso coils. BMW coils are indeed junk, and a real joy to replace. I did a couple on my Brother's M3.
I've always just replaced the boots and springs.

Wolvee... I remember when my Buddy used to wire new houses, he told me about a plumber that was in a bathroom doing some finish work.... and there was also a guy putting springs on the garage door. Somehow that spring broke/flew/whatever through a wall and impaled the plumber in the neck and killed him.
The rain is crazy today. The nova is under the car cover but the mustang is back in the garage.
I ordered a couple new T springs to install it myself but the Door company said they could replace it in about a half hour so I let them do it. I would have fumbled around a while and I would have had to do it with the Shelby in the garage. There was no way I would have been able to open the door by myself to get the car out. Probably money well spent since it was done so quick and safe. They also installed double springs so this probably won't ever happen again.

Yep... that's one thing I refuse to try and DIY on my house. I'll mess with about anything... but I'm not at all interested in doing those torsion springs. I already have a guy I'll have do it when the time comes. In fact... I've thought about having him just replace them preventively, as well as the rollers, etc. She doesn't move as well as she used to... ya know?

I've had them on every garage door I've had. I've installed, adjusted, and worked around them with no fear. Never had any issues either.
My doors haven't been heavy though. all are the steel shell filled with foam insulation.
Now y'all got me wondering if I need to install shields or something over them before they kill me.
Looking back, I believe every new vehicle I've ever bought was that color also.
It is a nice one and looks great on both of those for sure.
Edit, I see from that other thread that you haven't always been monochromatic in your choices.
I buy the best cars that have the most of what I want. The Shelby is Antimatter Blue, not black. I had actually ordered a white Mach1 Track Pack but the dealer dropped the sheby in my lap. My Nova was almost $20k cheaper than other big block cars I was looking for and checked every box I had for it. The F150 was just supposed to be a beater truck initially and just ended up keeping it. I also had a Red Nova and a green Nova, a blue Elcy, Yellow '30 5 window coupe. I don't really care for black cars but whatever.
You seem to have a very small color palette when it comes to vehicles.
