I saw that.... pretty cool stuff. I've always looked at that chunk of property and thought "that'd be a nice spot to expand". I'm sure Michelle doesn't want 'em all in there pissing on the floor in her new bathroom.

Matt released the video last week of the day I saw him parked in front of Gumby's. Go to 9:48 - he also meets up with LT Tolman there.

Didn't realize it at the time, but that black GMC belongs to LT.

Looking at the SD and tail drop, it's easy to see why. Notice that XJ is way past center on the dual axles, and the engine weight is way over the center mark, thus the droopy butt look. Why can't people set their loads correctly? Just asking

He's hauling the Morrvair in that pic...it's a heavy beast. Not sure there's a better way to load that without having trailer whip, could go back a smig I guess, not much. Just a 3/4, looks like he's close to max payload with that stuff in the back.

I decided to spray down the manifold in prep for the job this week and thought I'd see if I could check how bad the manifolds were leaking. To my surprise, I can't even hear it but there is a really bad sound howling from the Intake manifold. ..at least I think it's coming from the intake. It reminds me of what a Tensioner or bad pulley would sound like but I really think it's coming from the intake. I couldn't spend much time out there because I had my 4 year old creating havoc around me. Here's a video, thoughts? I have had this intake on for a couple years now and I have never heard this before.

That's a strange one, sounds like somethings hitting the cam cover. Maybe a broken guide ? Yea, I don't know. Not sure how a manifold could manifest that one. I've heard pulleys make different sounds that you wouldn't think was a pulley. Maybe remove the oil filler cap, see if it gets louder. Remove the belt as well, rule out a pulley. Hard one to stethoscope without a helper.

Timing chain guide, - if you didn't know what I was referring too. If they break apart, could jam somewhere up under the cam cover.

Not sure if your 5four has a tuning valve (IMTV) in the lower intake,if so..maybe, -

I also think that the angle of the ground Matt is sitting on is playing a factor.

Wolvee... Take the belt off and see if it goes away. I've had an alternator make a similar sound to that.... bad bearing.

I dug out the tombstone. It's in pretty decent shape... but I think it needs a rewiring job. I'm curious how old this thing is.

60/40 in the general rule AFA load. 60% of the weight in front of the first trailer axle, 40% behind the rear. Safer, no whip that way.

Based off the info I am finding, it appears that this welder was built in March of 1979. I can tell it spent its life in a barn. First item of business is to replace the welding leads. They've been in one too many scrimmages.

That's a new thing to me. The 5.4 doesn't have that.
