I bought a couple of them almost 10 yrs ago, you won't spill a drop and they don't wear out. There's also a hose that slips over the end for filling automotive tanks. They are push button and totally leak proof, so don't leave them out in the sun for too long lol.
Btw - Don't fall for some of those whiner baby reviews on Amazon...these work excellent and last. Just make sure it fits your gas can opening before purchasing.
Changed the over torqued oil filter today.
The wix oil filter installed yesterday, had the gasket stuck to the adapter plate. Pealed it off.
I hand tightened the motor craft oil filter by hand.
Used the wrench just a touch. I marked it.
The line was just under that black wire on the oil adapter.
Max. 2" of movement past hand tight with oil wrench.

I honestly think you are way over thinking this
Nothing wrong with the wix filter. Gaskets stick all the time
A couple years back, my Brother was moving. He asked me if I wanted this 5'er, and you better believe I was all over it. They don't make them this sweet anymore.
Nah, just the filter. And nothing wrong with the Wix filter, just over-tightened which caused the gasket to stick. Good that you caught it, GRF.
Looks like the garage PC needs some troubleshooting. "INACCESSIBLE BOOT DEVICE." I don't remember the last time I powered it up, so I wouldn't be surprised if the HDD seized.
