I just got a battery for the Z28.
Went online looking at them and almost chit myself.
They wanted $ 170- $200 for a battery.
I called the local warehouse I delt with as a mechanic and got one for a lot cheaper.
List $172.99
My cost $87.02 + $18.00 core charge.
Total charge $111.32
I'm hoping to find a core somewhere over there in the garage and get the $18.00 back.
Making sure it's fully charged.
Going to hook it up and watch for smoke...
If all goes well, I'll put the windows up and crank it till I see oil pressure.
Then I'll pour a little gas in the vent of the carb to fill the float bowl and pour a little in the carb.
It is up on jack stands so I can put it in gear and check the brakes and trans if it will run for a minute or so.
Can't decide if I should lather on some bug spray and go down tonight, or wait until tomorrow.
My kids B-day party is @ 4pm
Maybe someday. Probably rather have a Godzilla though. I'm doing this because I'm tired of listening to reman POS pumps. Only has 5 or 600 miles, and it leaks too.

That probably wouldn't flow enough for a recirculating ball box?
Welp, There goes my plan (that I have taken 0 action on other than thinking "what a cool thing to do") to stick a 7.3 and 6 speed manual in a fully resto-mod, 67 Galaxie.
Goot a call late yesterday evening to come and check out a 67 SS 396 4spd. Chevelle.
Guy was driving in from Chicago to trade it for the 69 RS/SS 396 4spd. Camaro.
It was after dark and they traded.
Sounded healthy, needs paint, probably going to be coming here to get rubbed and polished.
It is nothing but swirl marks right now.
It's so bad I wonder if it was done on purpose to hide the bad paint.
I didn't get home till 2am.
I will get more pics and probably a video of it soon.
He bought a 71 Barracuda convertible too, will get pics of that one too.
Unisteer makes a rack and pinion to put in the 65-67 Galaxy. They are pricey though. I'd probably look and see how feasible a Panther front end would fit in there.
Looked for a 67 Galaxie.
The nearest one too me is stupidly costly for the condition. Right car, wrong price.

No, seller, I don't think you are being dishonest, you just seem to stupid to trust.
