I woke up and noticed my Buddy had called me just before midnight last night. I got ahold of him today and I could tell he was not himself. He told me he had arrived on a scene where an 8 or 9 year old girl had just been hit by a car. He wasn't a witness, so he turned around and drove about 1/4 mile and saw a guy had run into a train. So, he diverted again and took another route. Then he witnessed this accident. The story headline sure makes it sound like a different situation. The guy that was the "hit" in hit and run died, and the "run" was the guy in the F150 that got hit.
