I just learned that I misunderstood before, and the Ineos actually has solid axles.

Edit: I just configured one, just for fun... $97k!

It's a 2008. Wheel bearings are here, sending them back to RA. There was nothing wrong with the bearings on the car surprisingly....apparently they were done by the dealer two years back... before she purchased the car. Didn't know that. I did the axles last year for her. Those are doing great as well. However, it sounds like a bucket of bolts over every bump. Something is majorly wrong up there. It's probably worse on the other side, the drivers side tie rods, links , bjs, struts and shocks are wore out, but not falling apart.. shouldn't be making that kind of racket. That's most likley the pass side...not there yet.

Hard to find good shock and struts units sold in one piece for that car. Wanted KYB, but I'd have to get the coils separate.....will have to go with Gabriel or Monroe (last choice) ...There's a lot of junk being sold now a days. Half the job is finding worthy parts anymore.

BTW- Her and her BF ordered the parts and attempted this on there own. I stopped by and removed and installed the tie rods on the drivers side and bj in LCA removed and a new pressed in. Guess I'll be doing the rest...the parts they ordered weren't the best...made what I could work.. They are returning the rest and ordering what I come up with tonight. It's a little bit of a mess right now, but nothing that can't be fixed.

OK.... so the 2008's are pressed in, aren't they? My Brother has a 2015 and they are bolt in hub/bearing assemblies.

Hey @ultimatenoobie she's lookin' for you.

They are pressed in yes. Had the drivers ready to swap earlier....passed on that and just did the LCA bj instead. They had it apart, glad I decided to check them vs pressing it out....I like using that tool, it's so powerful lol,,,

Do you mean a hydraulic press, or do you have a hub/bearing service set?

They texted me. One shop wants 240 to install the coil overs, the other said 360. Just to install the coils over the shocks, not on the vehicle. One excuse, - since covid prices have skyrocketed. Yea right, they must hate that job lol.

Ordered the Gabriels from Rock, one piece units for a fraction of that price. Returning the others, which are also Gabriels as it turns out. So it's just a swap at RA, Only charging an extra 8.50. Much cheaper way to go .
