Beautiful pond by the way.
That may or may not be what I mean by "dealing" with it lol . So Far its me:1 muskrats:2... I am adding some 110 conibear traps to try and help. Im tired of obsessing over the lake and waiting to see their wake show up so I can go "Deal" with them. Hoping the traps will help with that. The bank was overgrown when we bought the place so Ive been cleaning it up and have found 4 different burrows, dont know if they are all active but I will soon enough.

We have a couple muskrats at the back of the property. For the longest time we thought there was one. Last month we caught both of them playing and chasing each other around. They're far away from the house, don't bother us. But yea, thought there was just one, - came out at night and early morning. There could be three before to long lol.

Ohio, did you get snow last night? My cousin in Mosca got snow.

Luckily I don't have a muskrat problem. That would suck. I had gophers at my old house.... damn things used to gnaw on my zucchini all the time. Bastards...

Mine could have been moles too. I used to put the hose in the hole and let them have a drink. Tried the smoke bombs, juicy fruit, Tom Cat worms, etc. Water always seemed to at least slow them down. Getting a dog really scared them off though.

EDIT: actually... just remembered that when we were getting ready to move... the Wife and kids were tilling the garden and all the sudden I heard the tiller shut off then screaming. My Wife actually hit a gopher with it. It was just a baby and it was still alive when I got over to them. I grabbed a shovel and finished the job.... lol... I still remember her being upset I killed it with the shovel. What the hell else was I supposed to do?

Eewww... Speaking of tilling, The garden is fenced in. Weeded the perimeter, ready to pull tarps off. Thing is we have strawberries that came back on their own we don't want to disturb. They came up right through the tarp. Our fault for waiting I guess, it hasn't been warm that long. Gonna try to save them and transplant I guess. Pull the tarps and till this week yet.

Hope I don't run into any varmints...I'll give yuh a shout if I do, for that recommended deathly blow....killer.

Btw- What were those kids doing to you and Franky that made you honk , - giving you the air horn signal or the bird ? Couldn't make it out lol.

The kids did the air horn signal. Mixed up, aren't they? LOL. I don't know if the mic picked it up, but they all went "YES"! after I honked. I think that's the first time I've tried the horn.... kinda sounded weird.

Someone just moved in up the street.... they have two SHO's. Better go say hi after they get settled in. I keep offering to help my friend a couple houses up... he's got a supercharged 05 GT that he is putting bigger brakes on it (Roush, I think). He came over to see my car at the show, and said he jacked up his knee. I'll straight up do it for him if he wants.... but I don't know if he knows I'm serious.

No snow, White, just some steady (needed) rain. Voles have decided our property was a good place to set up shop. I don't mind them out in the field, but when they start eating the perennials from the roots up, we need to have a talk.
