Sounds like White would be just fine with trees having computers!
Cruising is a blessing. FYI, cruising is a forestry term for evaluating forests and tree stands. As opposed to cruising in your trucks and cars.“The standard procedure [of timber cruising] is to measure a portion of the stand, and assume that the average volume of the area sampled is the same as the average volume of the entire stand.”
"Timber cruising is a sampling process to derive statistics regarding a population of trees in a given area."
I've seen that rat rod before. I remember the vulture and skeleton.
Going electric? The Coyote PCM has the AiM electric steering controls that were in the '11 to '14 control pack but access to has since been removed for safety reasons. From what I understand it takes someone with AiM certification and equipment to alter the stock parameters. Anyway, I've been trying to find out if I can adapt one of the Japanese or German PS motor\pumps so it can be controlled from the PCM? I'm not sure if I believe it or not but Ford Performance told me they didn't know anything about it and to contact AiM. AiM says contact Ford??? Catch 22. I know people that have just added the motor\pumps but the way they have done it they have no control over the fluid flow to correspond with the vehicle speed. There are a couple of aftermarket stand alone controls available but I didn't think much of their response. I believe the AiM control is based on the wire throttle and MAF sensor for the manual trans PCM's and the trans for the automatic PCM's. That's what I read or someone told me anyway but I've never been able to verify it. That's one of the problems with the Ford Performance PCM's. There's not much information about them and the Ford VCM doesn't work with them. The required vehicle data for the VCM to work doesn't exist with these PCM's so they don't recognize them. Even for fault codes an SCT and a few other scanners are all that will work for full functionality. Sorry if I'm rambling. lol

I have about a thousand or so acres I need to wrap up in the next four weeks and if this rain doesnt stop I am really going to be in a bind. Generally I can get about four to six 1/10th acre plots per hour on an average day conducting a standard 10% cruise. That means if I cover 6 acres per hour then I have 167 hours cruising ahead of me. Even if the weather holds out Im going to be cutting it close.
Hey now! Thats some of my everyday lingo! LOL

You've got your work cut out for you and it is springtime.
LOL, I didn't add the definitions for your benefit. Just letting others that didn't know this definition of cruising know what was being referred too rather than cruising in a vehicle. No offense meant on what you obviously knew.

I am trying to knock this out before the temperature forces me to only cruise in the mornings. Once it starts edging 90 degrees it gets pretty rough out in the swamps when you add in the mosquitoes. LOL
White, I made some phone calls this afternoon and was advised to first build the cooling system as designed to ensure everything is working right before trying something new. Two different people told me the Ford Performance PCM is much more thermal efficiency critical than a stock Coyote PCM. Any thoughts on this? Their best advice was to stick with the current PCM controls or have the PCM reprogrammed for separate fan controls which has been done.
