My guess is most, if not all of them.

What's weird is Costco is out of Toilet paper, paper towels, Kleenex, etc. but everywhere else has plenty of these items. It's like everyone thinks they can only stock up from Costco. At least my commute is down from an hour plus to about 30 minutes. That helps a lot!

Heard on the news last night that in Italy, where they responded quick to the potential of the virus, in two days went from less than a thousand confirmed cases and 29 deaths to over seven thousand confirmed cases and over 360 deaths. What bothers me is the White House has now classified and restricted all the information about the virus including the number of cases and deaths. They will now disseminate all information and it's just my opinion but I don't trust or believe anything they put out.

I personally feel it is over hyped. Like with the Flu, I'm not saying that I want to contract it, but I just read that a 103 year old Chinese lady beat it. I like my chances. I'd like to think that our health care system is much better, and we have better doctors in the US.

Most of these numbers are irrelevant in comparison. I'm not saying they don't matter though. The fatality rate for corona from what I first heard was 2% and yesterday it was pushing 4%. Mortality rate from the flu in the US per the CDC is .095%. That's less than 1/10th of 1%. I agree, today more people die from the flu than Corona. What about six months or a year from now? As I said, I'm more concerned about an administration that keeps secrets, is woefully incompetent and pretends that there is no concern about the disease than I am concerned about the disease itself.

My only point was that any particular person is far more likely to die from something else.

This virus is greatly over-hyped if one looks at likely to die statistics.

I'll leave the politics out of it as teh WHO and CDC publish their statistics. We don't know the rate in the US as we don't test people showing no symptoms nor have most Drs been able to test people with only minor symptoms. The symptoms of this are the same as for many other things. Many could have had it and were asymptomatic. This was the case with West Nile a few years ago. Once the test was available and widely distributed it was found that almost everyone had it. I discovered I had West Nile when I was tested at blood donation. They kept the blood and still ask for more.

Listening to the news would lead to someone thinking this is the bubonic plague while any one person is still more likely to die driving to work and back than from Corona virus.

CDC person said it was 10 time more lethal than seasonal flu. 10 * .095 = .95%. That is not 4%.

CDC can only say what they are permitted to say. There are better sources to trust now. The two percent I first heard came from the head of the CDC at Trumps first news conference. 4% is worldwide and there's no reason to expect it to be any different here. During that first news conference there were what? 20 some people infected here and it's now over 1,000. Hey, I hope things are as optimistic as you think they are but history doesn't bear it out. West Nile was never like this. Look more at something like the Spanish flu which took 10% of the world population and in some countries more than 30% of the population.

It sure doesn't help that a guy in Miami has the virus and the test cost him over $3k and his share was $1,400. That's not going to inspire people to get tested. Trump says anyone who wants tested can be but all health officials followed that with, not true. It's currently Bill Gates who's trying to get enough test kits in the Seattle area. As I said, I'm more concerned about the incoherent response here than the actual virus. There's no way to say that without being political. But hey, my 401k is still doing fine. Isn't that all that really matters?
