You guys can think what you want to think about how its been handled, but I don't think its vindictive on the Governments part. I think they are trying to maintain a level of information while also juggling the prevention of a mass hysteria. This has been handled by the US better than China or Italy handled it in my opinion.

I don't remember those, but I've tried to stay away from those shops unless it's something simple and they're convenient, for a long time now. NAPA has been the shop of choice. Hell, the last time I was at Auto Zone I was shopping for a fuel tank. All they carried was unfinished steel tanks that were over 200 bucks.. about 229. I ended up purchasing this one online instead, -

Amazon Amazon

It came galvanized with an excellent paint job. You could wax the thing if you wanted lol.

Looks like they raised the price, I paid 122 for it.

Unfortunately the 2 local NAPA's here have become an Autozone like place. Both stores had full service machine shops which are now closed and the counter people that once knew what they were doing have all moved on. Last time I went I was looking for hardened bolts because Autozone didn't carry them and now they didn't either. You can get or order all the parts you want but they don't carry anything to put them on with except their inappropriate blister pack selections. NAPA was at one time all independently owned stores and that's changing to corporate owned stores like the Autozones. One of the NAPA stores was on the lake and catered to boats. They also sold gas to boats, had dock rentals and winter storage and when the store was sold about 10 years ago all of that had to go. It was big news in the local small town paper.

I guess I'll call myself lucky. I work a mile from the main NAPA in SLC. When the smaller stores need something, it either comes from there, or the Balkamp in West Jordan (a suburb of SLC). And the NAPA about 2 miles from home has an excellent staff. There's one dude that's kinda grumpy until you get to know him, but I guess I might be like that too, LOL.

The one by home is also a pretty big store... I keep meaning to ask them if they do machine work at all on rotors and such.

Sad to hear that some NAPA stores are to hell. Glad that some have not yet. Yea there's still good ones out there.

I might be assumed as grumpy too white. Guess I have to deem someone worth my time before I snap out of it. I think it's a getting older thing....it just happens.
