This is from another forum here and I'm not sure what the guy is doing. This part is from an 09 with a 6R80 transmission. He broke a pin on this "lead frame" as he calls it. He's had problems with putting a new part on and changes that have been to the part with different years and engines. Anyway, does anyone know why or if he can't for some reason just replace the broken pin on the original part?
White, BYU 34, Hawaii 31, start of the 4th in the Hawaii Bowl. Started down to a fast 14-0 but fought their way back. It's been an enjoyable game to watch. Tell the team thanks for the good game next time you see them.
I don't know if you fellers remember me finding a melted electrode on a spark plug on my Yaris? Well... it's starting slow again with the NGK's that I bought on Amazon. I found no issues whatsoever with anything on the vehicle. Coincidentally I had a Youtube video pop up about counterfeit spark plugs sold on Amazon. Annnnd.... I think I've been had, twice. The Denso's are long gone, but this video will be used for me to identify if mine are indeed fake.
Hope everyone who celebrated yesterday had a great Christmas! Technically I'm off until the 2nd, but still have to keep up with work a little. I might just use some of this time to install the seat covers I bought over a year ago. The temp fix I made on the driver's seat is starting to let go already, and the Covercraft covers should look pretty good (though I still do like the OEM ones a lot).
I also picked up a DSG hood for $50 at the U-Pull--N-Pay last weekend. It has a few deep scratches/gouges in it, but I should be able to take my time with the touch-up bottle and some wet-sanding to get it looking pretty good. (At least better than the cracking and flaking of the current one!)
White: I'd not heard of that issue, but will certainly keep it in mind for future reference!
Went out and fired Red up this morning, only to find fuel running everywhere. I had it on auto start and wasn't ;paying attention, when I smelt gasoline. I looked at Red and he had about 4 gallons of fuel under him. I shut it down immediately upon the find. He went to the shop today, to find that an injector o-ring had shrunk (could of been tweaked also)/ Anyways, he's fixed and I can pick him up tomorrow. Good thing the shop stands by their work. The slideback cost me 95 though.
