Well Rivers, I just got off the phone with my Microsoft Office phone call that I requested over 3 weeks ago, LOL.

Sooo... if any of you are interested in what Plex does, I really like this feature. It populates with "posters" and descriptions of the series, and then the individual episodes.

Netflix and Prime does the same thing. Netflix is better at it.

LOL!

I can only imagine the level of comfort that call must have given you. Microsoft has let you know, "We care."

Dorman is unique. Started out with copper tubing and fittings and now look how far they have come. They've become the Service line for hard parts. When the branched out to Help and Motormite they started what they are now. Big group. While I don't like some of their list pricing, it has a hell of a mark up for businesses to make buck off of.

When I was up in Fairbanks this past summer, the yard I was at was a Dorman rep. (I know, weird). Anyways a list price exhaust manifold for a Ford (137 list) was sold to them for 62. Shipping a flat rate amount (this case was 5.72). To me, that is a hell of a range to sell it at. When you looked it up at O'Reilly's it was 146 (7% over suggest list). This is another reason I shop around to get the prices I want to pay. Too many years of selling this crap to pay full prices. LOL

I'm old enough to remember when pricing was pretty standard. Suppliers and manufacturers set the prices and if a dealer wanted to sell the products they offered it was under agreement to be at their pricing so customers shopped for parts instead of price. There are benefits to shopping for price but sometimes it's more effort than what it's worth. You're fortunate enough to be in a position to see it all when it comes to pricing. There's an Amish General Store up north that prices with Biblical Standards and their prices can be shocking sometimes. I picked up some large Stanley barn door style hinges from them and although I don't remember exactly what the difference was, it was something along the lines of 2-1\2 hinges from them for the price of one at the local Lowes. A supposedly volume sales discounter. Shopping price is just the way it is now days.

Actually a yard selling parts makes a lot of sense. If the part needed isn't out in the yard, giving up on looking and taking their discounted parts I think would be attractive to a lot of customers. A yard in the middle of winter in Alaska has to be a PITA too. They would also have a good idea of what parts are coming out of the yard first and the most. There's a local yard here that maintains lists for text message notifications for particular cars and parts. It's good business.
