I settled with this vac white, -

https://www.homedepot.com/p/RIDGID-1...-308343494-_-N

It was 99 locally, but it didn't come with the detail kit and extra hose. I should of held out for the one on line, much better deal. Ah well, needed one pronto. Works great, very quiet. Grabbed a blue filter for fine dirt and dust, didn't bother to look on the box as it came with one lol. Just threw on the cart , grabbed a armful of 1x6's and high tailed it out of there lol.

Hey, Brew. Does that vac have any onboard storage for the nozzles, etc.? (I don't see it, but...) I really like that feature on mine. I've been toying with the idea of replacing my Craftsman vac, but the thing just won't quit! A quieter one would be nice, but I can't bring myself to spend the coin just for that.

Yes it does, - a little caddie snaps on the back drum or lower half of the machine, (it was a mother snapping that thing on there, used a dead blow mallet for the assist). You can use the caddie or the tool port above each wheel.

Look at the link again, they have a pic of the caddie and further storage options. You can also one hand that machine up a staircase, it's light....when empty. Great carrying handle.

It's surprisingly quiet without a muffler or diffuser attachment. They're even quieter with one of those. I have both muffler and diffuser attachments but haven't felt the need to use one yet.

I have to remember to remove the muffler from the old one before wheeling it to the curb. The diffuser is on the smaller Ridgid.

The wide accessory tool on the right is for wet surfaces. It's one of the best accessories for these vacs but rarely used for wet surfaces. Removing the squeegee insert and using it for dry surfaces is the ticket. The smaller tool on the left rarely gets used...it stinks as well. Wish Ridgid would that those tools right....you still have to customize. Regardless, the machine and it's tools wrap up nice and tight. They don't fall off when using or transporting....that's new lol. We are redoing my daughters house before the new addition to the family arrives. Down to the 2x4's, kitchen, bedroom, larger main bath. Saving the bath till last, outdated tile and 1" plaster walls....so much fun. The vac will be getting a workout, as will I lol.

BTW- I absolutely hate windows new snipping tool...they ruined a good thing. Holey crap , I even quoted myself...computer is not my friend today lol.

Me too, I used it on a co-workers PC..... and that's why I've held out in switching.
