People get mad when you tell them that what they are selling is either not worth what the think, or the car is not what they say/think it is.
There was a guy here on FB Marketplace that was selling a Malibu. Apparently there is a police package that is pretty desirable. Some dudes called him out on it, and he threatened to sue them for harassment, LOL. I wish that I would have done a screenshot. I was watching the conversation happen, and eventually the guy deleted it. It was 5 on 1, all telling him the same thing.
AK, with those miles, a 4.6, and 2WD, probably a $4K-$5K truck here, too, if he's lucky. That HD logo *does* look like an iron-on patch. Maybe the P. O. Just liked HD's (or was trying to pull a fast one). I can't see any (Ford) dealer doing that.
Im right there with you Ohio. I dont think any dealer would consider that and honestly if the guy didnt realize that $15 bucks in stick on accessories doesnt make for $7000 premium its his own fault. Even if you dont know what a super charger is you can tell by absolutely everything else.
You know that saying "if you go looking for trouble, you're going to find it"
Yeah I'm getting tired of this.
The bottom part I knew about and have the patch panels coming tomorrow... I was not aware of the bondo hole and dent filled bondo in the center of the door.
That sucks man! That's almost where I'd throw in the towel and do the skin.
My project today wound up being "not-as-easy-going" as I would have liked it to. Turns out, the metal I ordered was 1/2" longer than what I ordered. That really slowed me down. I got one side done before the cold got to me. It's been in the 40's since about noon, and it's not so bad if you're in the sun..... but the whole thing is in the shade now.

I'd usually be for buying a full skin but dentside s are notorious for having horrible repro parts. Horrible figment, smallest gauge metal they can find, etc.
This at least is an OEM door (which is 95% rust free) and getting patched with my old passenger door which is OEM. If this door wasn't so clean i probably would've looked for another one. (But I've also tried that and have had bad luck lol) rust belt makes things difficult. Thought I was avoiding rust with a Texas truck
I channeled my inner AK today at the local U-Pull-&-Pay.
Spare tail lights to smoke. I already had a spare set of the 97-99 style, but this way I can keep a set of the "right" ones stock in case I want to switch back.
EDIT: SON OF A.....!!! Now I have TWO sets of the '97-'99 lights! I thought maybe I just took a pic of the wrong ones. Nope!
I also found a keypad-equipped door handle in the proper color. Now I'll need to try to find the factory arm and disarm wires to connect to my aftermarket alarm so I can actually use it. That should be fun.
White, you'll appreciate this non-F150 find: Halo headrests in just about perfect condition. These were out if an '89 Escort GT I just happened to notice.
Total out the door: $68.17
