I am a subscriber to the Project Farm. I have that Gorilla tape he tests. Pretty decent stuff.

I just got done taking the trailer hitch receiver from off of the 06 Escape, and put it on the 11 Escape. My neighbor and I cut the bolts out of the old frame. It uses 1/4" steel with squares in them for carriage bolts. Well.... the steel got rounded out in a couple of them, so I tack welded some brand new bolts on the 1/4" steel anchors. I really need to invest in a better welder. This HF POS does "okay", but it's not a Lincoln or Miller. I had a hard time getting it to penetrate the plates, but it worked.

But. . . it's an Oldsmobile! It'd be sacrilegious. <---> Aside from that the short wheelbase just means with a little work you'd have a funny car or just a fun car.

Posted it because somewhere someone said something about someone putting a 4.0 in a Bronco 2. The Aurora was a pretty good engine though.

I wasnt sure about the heritage of the engine but after I replied I noticed is was a 4 valve head design and realized it wasnt from the blue oval but it was too late to go back. Lol

Honestly if I could swap in a 5 speed and 4.0 I would be pretty happy.

Yes I do. Just ask how many of each I've been through. Lol

3rd 2.9 and 2nd A4ld

I have a 94 model a4ld from behind a 4.0 with upgraded parts so hopefully it will last a while longer.

The A4LD was much improved upon with the 4R55E. If you could get a 96ish 4.0 with the 4R55E, that would be awesome.

Check this out... one of my Buddy's from TheRangerStation posted this.... and I'm not too sure what I think, just yet, LOL

Im not sure how plug and play the 4r55e is in the 89' platform. I feel like I was reading up on one guy that did it and I think I would swap a 5.0 and a c4 in rather than run separate controllers and all the wiring.

In that first picture I was thinking he has a real project ahead of him and then I saw the second picture... Now that is absolutely a project! I dont like the wheels but that is a respectable rat rod he has come out with. Im digging his creativity. I will say that much. lol

Was just out cutting the back yard and there were a couple of ultralights flying around. Don't see them often here but I always wanted to give them a try. Anyone one else? Anyone have one?
