I have been running it for a while now and have not had any issue with it. I keep seeing random reports of it being bad but I have installed it on many client PCs without issue. I usually try to test and then push out the bigger half yearly updates to my clients before they get stuck in update hell unexpectedly. If you have a CEO, CFO or someone else on Win 10 in your company you might want to push it out on your terms instead of having them experience the random hour + of not being able to use their machine. This update will usually decide to install itself right before the PowerPoint presentation of the big meeting in the conference room with the out of town investors who only have 2 hours before their plane takes off for another country.
Yeah, 1903 is a POS. I knew that parts of it were released in May, but they are force feeding it now. Since I did the update, I am getting a "SendKey" error on MS Access. I know... Access is old school, but so is the DB. Everything else has been converted to SQL but this because of how elaborate and detailed it is. This particular NUC completely skipped 1809 because it was powered down. I am wondering if that is why is was force fed to this machine.

I have a machine here that I put on the "Semi-Annual Channel (aka SAC) " but that only pushed it out 60 days, and then when it hit - the damn thing sank. After the update I had to reinstall Windows on it because it would randomly freeze for several minutes, and about 50% of the time get the BSOD. The Windows reinstall went to 1809, and it's been blazingly fast since the reload (Intel 660P SSD, 16GB RAM, Win 10 Pro). Call me a conspiracy theorist, but it always seems that MS gets revenge when you mess with their update plans, LOL.

Maybe the SAC is what you meant by testing the "half-yearly updates"?

Half yearly meaning the big updates they push every "6 months" that end with an 03 or an 09 that basically rewrite half the OS. Although they really haven't stayed on the 6mo schedule since 1809 was released in October instead of September, then pulled and re-released in January. Then 1903 was released in May. I wonder if they will actually call the next one 1909 since it will probably show up sometime between Christmas and Valentines day.

Yea that last update was a big one, - restarted twice, made a mess of the registry (not a big deal, framework for the most part). Messed up a few personal settings, still, not a big deal. It froze the first reboot on lock screen, almost forgot about that...had to force it. Straitened right out though.

We were watching a movie last night staged in the 80's. Family Fued was playing in the background in the movie. The question was "what do most people do after becoming extremely board at work? " #1 answer, "read a book" .

Read a book...seriously ? The 80's lol.

Yea , that was quite away back I guess.... didn't have my first Radio Shack bag phone until the early 90's. First comps were W98 and a 99 MAC G3. It makes more senses now, come along way from the good ole 80's lol.

Those old things are still "gold" in some remote areas because they still work for 911 calls. They are way more powerful and get through where cell phones won't get a signal and they still work when the land line is down.

Yea!!!

My motor is here. Ford just called. I just called the installer and he's ready for it. Time to finish up this project. lol

He also knows I'm going to use shorty's now and is going to clean up the weld that is on the left pipe where it was cut. That should seal out any noises.

Looks like the same brand I had in my Ranger. Just don't carry anything that you don't want load shift. It is really easy to load things.... but.... also easy for them to become unloaded, LOL.

That is great your motor arrived! You'll be popping wheelies before long!

Looks good AK. I got a Duraliner for my last truck for $18.50 from pick--n-pull that was embossed with the Ford oval like that one. I really liked but as White alluded to, stuff will slide around quite easily on it. I should have removed it before insurance company took that truck away. Of well, maybe I'll find another one some day.

I'm interested to hear how much difference the new engine makes. Is the old one in bad shape or just tired from being old? I read this whole thread but I can't remember why you need a new engine. Maybe I'm the one who is tired from being old.
