Do you guys have a recommendation on brand or store to get good ground straps from? Looking to replace the grounds on the Highboy and want to make sure I get good quality ground straps

 

2100.....do you have a local automotive wire and cable supply source in your area? If so, have some made up specifically to fit what you take off. It is so hard to find exact length cables for the older rigs. It looks shabby as hell to see 18 extra inches of cable balled up or lying around under the hood. Besides they can give you the best choices for your needs. That's just me, but that's how we do the race cars and adding campers with extra remote batteries.

 

The AC Delco straps on Amazon are really good quality. So are the Standard straps.

 

I saw the standard, wasn't sure if they were good or not. I'll look more into those too and see if they have my sizes I need, thanks.
I don't really have any good wire/cable sources around me. The few places that are worth a damn sell commercial only and won't sell to private parties. Tried to navigate that when working on my household AC last year.
I'll look into the details of standard and ac Delco to see if they have any matching cables to what I take off.

 

Look to see if you have an electrical selvage or recycler in your area. We had one locally that sent everything to Eastern Europe, Asia and the Middle East and they would sell stuff for 10 to 20 cents on the dollar. You could get gold plated, severe environment stuff like braided straps for next to nothing compared to an electrical supplier.

If it's worth it to you, you can go down to your local Clerk's office, spend 10 to 20 dollars and get a DBA. You can shop anywhere with it. Can you see it: FordGuy2100 Light Industrial Manufacturing?

2100.... if you want to go REALLY high quality, Quick Cable or even Painless sells some great stuff too. I think they both sell it in rolls too.
