Damn... just saw this now. I'm probably too late?

2100.... your High Boy looks awesome! I'm jealous. A friend at work just bought a 78 for him and his son to work on..... bought it for a song too ($1200).

Hey guys.... this is being sold by this dealer as though this "No Fear Edition" is a factory thing. Have you ever heard of it? Can't make up my mind if I like the fender changes....

Nah, all I got to do yesterday was pull the bearing. Then the compressor broke down. Spent the rest of the day fixing that lol. I have to fab up a bearing installer yet. Bearing will be here tomorrow. I forced it out with wet paper towel and plunger...that went easy..

I guess I'm going to pull the diff cover after all...wasn't going to. Figured it would be a good idea to mop out the diff, since it's on the bench. I can take pics if interested.

_____________

Wow, a F150 with Z71 wheel arches lol. Might even be Toyota arches...

Whitey....there is one of the No Fears in the wrecking yard in AZ. One of the FB sites was talking about it. I think that it looks like a Chevy wheel arch, more than that of a Ford. Honestly, not my favorite model. I'd take a good looking Sport or KR over that. That my be just me.

Brew, I hope you get your truck up and done. I hate when You have to replace things like that. I like simple. LOL Good luck with your project.

Yea, it's just a pilot bearing. Ford Service has it - replace the bearing IF dismantled. It's an axle shaft pilot burrowed into the center of the axle, the shortest axle of the three on the right side. PITA because I don't have the tools to remove/replace, not buying them either. Welding together an installer, not a big deal. Just has to be perfect or you can destroy the bearing. It's a caged roller bearing, sort of like a needle bearing. Has to be pressed on, not hammered. I don't think there's going to be a problem, unless I get a cheap bearing Monday, just a PITA.

Oh yeah. It's real. Called a NF155. NO Fear, and they only made 155 of them. Here's a link on them.

I'm kind of liking it lol. But with 35" tires it would be a little ball less. That's all they did to the drive train anyway.. baja fenders and 35's. No talk of gearing unless I missed it...mannn, if they just geared it, it would be much cooler. As far as looks, growing on me a little I think, in a wierd way iduno lol. That other picture looked good.
